Introduction to web
Welcome to the internet. A place where you can find different types of phishing, admins, shady apps and much more. There is a big spike as of 2021 for a phishing scams over the steam, and a lot of people are affected because they just do not wanna to read a page URL or checking window where they filling they personal steam data.
Phishing, social engineering and fake admins
There is a few different scam types over the steam. Lets take a look at each of them:

PHISING

One of the most important type of scams because a scammer WILL GAIN FULL ACCESS TO YOUR STEAM ACCOUNT. A flow of this type of scam is always the same. Someone will add you on steam and they can pretend that they are a Steam or other website admin. They will offer you to visit a website for a free item or something else. And that website will have a phishing login form. It is really easy to spot that.

How do detect a phishing website:
  1. A login page starts not with the https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/
  2. A login page opens up in the same tab as a pop up window with a different window style than your browser.
  3. A login page ask your password and name when you already logged in with this browser on steam. (Steam never asked you again for your credentials if you already logged on steam with this browser

Social Engineering or Fake Admins

This type of scams involves your stupidity level. Someone will add you as a friend and they will be impersonating a steam stuff. They will offer you something for exchange for your item and a scammer will send you a trade offer for your item but nothing for exchange back. There is a lot of stupid enough persons who will take that offer. Steam doesn't have any moderators or administrators. There is actual steam moderators but you NEVER will detect that. Their accounts doesn't have any special thing.

MAIN RULE:
DO NOT ACCEPT ANY RANDOM FRIEND INVITES AT ALL
