How to put your avatar on Discord, Skype, ZOOM, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet through VUP?

Through the virtual camera, you can replace your real-time chat video with the avatar in the VUP.
For example, use Skype to video chat with your friends, or use zoom to have a meeting.

Regarding the application of virtual camera for VUP, I will introduce two methods below

Method 1: The virtual camera "UnityCam" that comes with VUP

Method 2: OBS virtual camera

In addition, I will also introduce how to fix the issue of the VUP virtual camera "UnityCam" installation failure.

Part 1 The virtual camera "UnityCam" that comes with VUP

1. Install "UnityCam"
Broadcast > Boardcast > Click the option "Virtual Camera"
Click the blue button 【install】 to install VUP virtual camera - "UnityCam".

2. Enable the virtual camera.
Click the button "OFF" to enable.

3. Set the camera to "UnityCam" in the video chat software ( ZOOM, google meet, Discord, Skype, Microsoft Teams )

Part 2 Fail in installing VUP virtual camera "UnityCam" ?

For example click the button "Install" , but nothing happens, or the pop-up prompts "module VUPCamService32.ax 加载失败" (It means installation failed).

How to solve it?
Please try the solution below

** Method 1 **

1. Find the installation path of VUP, and then open the folder one by one as follow.

2. VUP_Data -> StreamingAssets -> VUPCam
Then right-click "Register" to run it as administrator.

** Method 2 **

If you try the method 1, but still fail in installing VUP virtual camera "UnityCam", please do as follows.

1. Download the "Repair Software for Virtual Cam" package
Download

2. Unzip this package, open the unzipped folder, click on the "DirectX_Repair_win8_win10.exe" file

3. And then click [检测并修复].

After the automatic repair is completed, click the button [install] in VUP to reinstall the virtual camera.

** Method 3 **

If the installation still fails, please continue to use the repair package of method 2, and then do the following.

1. How to set OBS virtual camera?

The latest version of OBS has an option of "virtual camera" .
Please update OBS to the latest version.

2. How to set OBS virtual camera in video chat software?
Similar to the method of " Part 1, Point 3 "
But select " OBS Virtual Camera " in the camera list.
