Not necessary anymore since the 1.4 update of VFE - MF:

-Added a special mechanic to the surgery table which increases surgery success chance by 25%. 10% and completely removes the ‘forced fail chance’ of surgery.

-Removed cleanliness malus from Surgery table.

(also note that the medical bed has a tending offset boost of 5%, increasing outcomes for low skill colonists)

Is there a possibility to add to this mod that pawns only lay on the operation table when they are scheduled for operation or in critical need of medical attention?

Oh the table is like dirty inherently? I had no idea. I see the logic behind it, but gameplay-wise I'd agree that it makes it useless. Subbed! And thanks for the info!

Surgery success chance is directly impacted by the cleanliness score of the room it's in. The idea behind the Operating Table is that it's supposed to have small improvements over a normal bed for surgery success. But the problem is that the negative cleanliness from the table actually reduces surgery success chances far below that of a normal bed, making it pointless to use at all.

What exactly does the cleanliness debuff do, and how does it make it useless?
