Killing bots
This guide is outdated! Thank you valve for fixing the issue

**NEW GUIDE: ** https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2761521020
What you need: Pocket vaccinator medic and a pyro/sniper
How to do it: To kill spawn camping bots, simply wait for medic to have vaccinator, tell medic to pop it and proceed to w+m1 all of the bots, its that simple. If a bot is on the objective or long range, get a confident sniper to pocket, to kill the pesky heavy bots.

Information about bots
There are many types of bots, but to be more aware of them follow these steps:

There are name changing bots, they work from getting info from other bots in that server
If it is at the start of the round the bot will immediately kick that person, if that person does not say f1 dont do so, if the bot is mic spamming, press tab and look at the bots class, sniper/heavy's are easily identified. kick one of them and pray that you did not kick a real person.

regular name bots:
These bots are easy to identify

if someone is mic spamming, check them and if there spinning kick them, or in the kill feed if there getting A: a lot of kills with mini-gun or B getting a lot of head-shots really quickly, you may of discovered a bot.

Chat spam bots:
These bots are easy to find, go to console scroll up and you will see there username
after that kick them.

Lag bots:
These bots will join your game and can and cannot have aim-bot. If they dont have aim-bot they will sit afk/running around at random to avoid being kick and stop the game with the lag. they will never get any points if they dont have aim-bot. if they have aim-bot they should be easy to kick.

Helpful tips:
1. Never go to the links in people's usernames/chat spam unless its a trusted site, it may be an ip logger and the bots will target you, unless you do something on there site, essentially black mailing you, before visiting a site search it up and get any info if possible, and look for spelling mistakes in the name of popular companies like twitch or YouTube.
2. I recommend using a VPN anywhere, even not just in tf2 to protect yourself online.
3. Set your default auto download settings on your browser off, so you have to manually accept the download request, yes it can be annoying but will protect your computer from auto installing malware that the bot maker can use to make your computer useless to you but your computer would become a bot user.
4. Dont be stupid, I know its kind of common knowledge , but dont tell anyone your address online, dont put your info in unsecured sites, secure sites will have a lock at the top. Use basic security protection software.

If you have any questions / concerns or just want more info contact me on my steam profile or comments on this guide.

The scorch shot is also very useful if bots are out of flame range

How to deal with "ddos bots"
By now, we have all dealt with a lot of lag that everyone on the server has. These are known as "ddos bots" and can trigger when you try to kick them. Even if these bots are not inside the server you can still be lagged. The bots are using "ddos attacks". There is no way to deal with them, However you can follow these tips to try to help you with these bots.
1. Join event servers at your own risk
2. play between 9 am to 11pm EST for the most active play time.
3. If you want to play outside of the times i highly suggest you play on community servers
4. Valve servers are kind of unplayable so i suggest either comp or mvm or community.

Fist of steel is nice but bots are getting smarter and smarter, someday soon I will release a new guide because when I made this I was level 50, now I'm level 93 tier 2. Anyone who has suggested thank you and your contributions will be mentioned in the next guide.

Easy Way: Fists of Steel Heavy and hope to god you get a crit or the bot misses with its melee.
Easier Way: Get a vacc medic to pocket you.
Hard Way: Use Bonk and get taunt kills.

doesn't exactly talk about how to kill them

all you gotta do to counter a sniper is A very healthy heavy with iron fists and medic with quick fix

but then again, when you got the heavy bot, engineer might help with rescue ranger and mini sentry.

So bots also have generic pfp. Always double check because me and my friends kept getting kicked because no one can tell.

We need to spam Valve's email with angry letters about the bot problem.

#9BigSmoke try using the vaccinator, it makes headshots less effective so you can kill them easier.

Shame there's really no way to deal with the sniper bots other than just kick them. I don't even need to see what they are wearing to tell if they're a bot or not. I just know the second I get insta-killed out of nowhere since they're programmed to headshot you the millisecond you come within sight of them, no matter how far away you are.
