Checking the aformentioned health
In FoF the health bar (the white F shape) will only show up when you: heal, try to heal, take damage or LOOK DOWN. The health bar shows up when you look down. Enjoy knowing if you can take few hits or not without having to try to heal or get shot.
Having it show up all the time( thanks to v³.lings for this bit)
Look in advanced options, be warned this does mean that it is harder to notice damage due to this health bar not popping up.

Makes it a little more difficult to know when you've taken damage because it's not popping up, but you always know what health you are at.

or you can enable it so that your health shows up always in the advanced options
