Title

Description

German forces cross the river but are pushed back multiple times and a safe beachhead is not established. Finally, the Panzers are sent across in desperation but without ammunition and infantry, it is too dangerous to go forwards. The offensive is halted until more forces can come up from the rear.

Based on the first 5 days of the battle of the Ardennes. From December 16 to December 21, 1944.

Events: German forces fight to knock the enemy off their positions on the other bank of the river. Multiple attacks are launched but are halted by heavy casualties. The germans finally manage to create some sort of firing line in order to give cover to the troops crossing. However, the Americans in the back lines manage to knockout several crossing attempts. The Americans even launch an infantry counterattack which slows the German advance. Eventually with the American mortars knocked out the Germans are able to cross but are still not successful in establishing a secure beachhead, The germans then in desperation cross their remaining Jagpanzers and Panthers but are shelled by American artillery. One Jagpanzer is detracked and the remaining armor tries their best but without ammunition and infantry support they halt their advance.
