Muenchen Ostbahnhof

Beskrivning
Manage the eastern entrance and exit of Munich's busy S-Bahn backbone. Two times 28 trains on two tracks in a single hour are scheduled. Can you cope with the high frequency of arrivals and departures or will you cause a logjam?

The track layout is mostly accurate, with the exception of the sidings area between Ostbahnhof and Leuchtenbergring. The arrivals and departures at Ostbahnhof match the real weekday timetable almost exactly. Travel times between stations are not realistic and schedules at those stations have been adjusted.

The map has a lot of pre-built sensors and setting them up properly is part of the puzzle. If you are not yet familiar with arrival and departure sensors you should learn to use them on an endless map.

62 minutes, 53 trains, 2090 points for a perfect score. Moderate difficulty if you are familiar with sensors and automation.

Map completed! Zero penalties but the score is 2080/2090 hahaha

I'm also having the timetable problem mentioned by the other commentors (penalty for the S3x04 in Giesting). The subtext of the train states 08:31, but the timetable states 08:32.

Well, good map. But there is a problem: the train S3x04 passes through Holzkirchen at 08:31 and arrive to Giesting at 08:32. Ok? Ok. But, I don't know why, on the bottom screen, the timetable is correct but the information under the train shows 08:31 and I got -2 points.

Very good map. But there is one mistake on it. Train S3x04 passes through Holzkirchen at 08:31 and it must to arrive to Giesting at 08:31.
And of course he is late.
-2 points .
Correct me if I am wrong.

The automation would be more useful if there were route sensors inbound. As it is, it's kinda only useful for the satellite stations into Giesing. From there on, it's not totally useful.

If that's your plan, it needs:

2 route sensors Giesing-> Ostbahnhof
2 route sensors Ostbahnhof -> Giesing
Station Sensor at City Center 2
2 route sensors from City Center 2 inbound
Station Sensors @ Erding and Munich Airport 1
2 route sensors from Ostbahnhof to City Center 1

In the middle it makes sense to be manual control because that's the hard part. But getting them into that area automatically (except from the Coach Yard) would be nice.

I did the other version without any automation, and I found auto-accept @ City Center 2 was not useful, because they ended up stopping at the switches. It was better to have them ding at me so I could then set all the inbound switches. Automation for that part at least would make the auto-accept much more attractive.

2090/2090 which is also what I'd rate this map!

OOh, one train sent wrong way and whole traffic stuck. I have to try again.,

This version of the map does not have a broken down train. You probably meant to comment on the harder one. The maximum score there is 2388 due to the two unavoidable "bad platform" penalties.
心想事成 17 okt, 2021 @ 19:57
Eexcellent. Because of the breakdown-train, two mistakes are unavoidable. So the highest attainable score should be 2088.
