The Hummingbird escort craft was created as a response to the threat fast and agile fighters posed to the Osprey troop transport. This escort craft is inexpensive to produce, and extremely manoeuvrable. Designed to escort ships such as the Osprey into hostile environments, however is not designed for long-term engagement.

This particular variant is rated for trans-orbital flight, containing basic life support, 6 small reactors, 1 battery, little cargo space, 3 H2/O2 generators and hydrogen thrusters.

The ship is armed with 4 Gatling guns, and 2 wing-mounted rocket launchers.
It has an extremely fast acceleration, and turning speed allowing it to keep up with most other fighters.
This variant is also fitted with 3 parachutes in the event of no fuel.
