Another tip is to invest in turbine and energy storage first
* Accounting -> Logistics -> Fuel turnover - autobuy fuel
* Quality parts - doubles your power output without changing the initial setup
* Lobbying - gives you a bit of extra safety since you will fail contracts due to unforeseen circumstances (blowing up reactors)
* Power unit -> Power storage - gives you more flexibility
Unsure about contracts:
* if it says 4GW until the end of the period you have to maintain that power output until the end of the contract
* if it says 1TWxd for 6m that means you have to deliver 1TWd in total, or maintain approx 5.6GW over the 6m (1000GW/6/30d), so while these are more flexible, its a bit harder to know whether you can fully complete them
* i think that if you partially complete the contract, it will not fine you the full amount
* Also unlocking research tends to make contracts harder to fulfill, there seems to be some order in which you should complete these to not brick your progress. What i mean by bricking is that you will get into a situation where you never can completely fulfill a contract
* You can sell research, not sure whether that has any effect on your competitors, but it can help you in some crisis situations.
* Do not play on max speed, it will blow up your reactor after your contracts end, since if you max out on stored power you will start overheating.
* Initially i thought weather has an effect on heat, but it does not seem to be that way.
* Control panel heating slider controls how much heat your boilers generate ~ how much fuel you put in the boilers
* Control panel water supply tells you how much you cool the boilers with water
* The higher temperature your sector has, the more power it will generate, but i also think the faster the parts will deteriorate or something
The above explain how to optimize your power generation. Max out heating and water initially, and slide the water supply as low as you can without overheating. Unfortunately there is not enough information in the game on how to set this, you have to trial and error.
