There are two ways to upload images to the workshop:

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀OR using a browser add-on Steam Artwork Hub Essentials.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀I'll cover both ways in detail. Which is better - you choose.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀      Click "Export" and save your modified image:
