How to change the FOV

The default FOV is quite narrow, making the game uncomfortable to play, thankfully, this is very easy to change by either adding a command inside of the config file or setting the FOV values using the console.

Changing the FOV
There are two ways to change the default field of view, either using the console or automatically when game starts using a config file.

If using the command line on startup:
  • Create a .txt file in the game directory.
  • Write this inside of the .txt file:
    "con_restricted=0
    cl_fov=90" (or whatever value you prefer)
  • Save the text file as .cfg by Saving As.

If using the console:
  • Hit the ; (semicolon) key on your keyboard.
  • Write "con_restricted=0" and press Enter.
  • Write "cl_fov=90" (or whatever value you prefer)
  • Prophet

I mean, it's already 90 degrees FOV. (horizontal) it's labeling it as vertical so 58-59 is 90 degrees. I mean setting it to 90 is like.... 130-140 FOV horizontally. That's a bit much eh?

Just a note: this is vertical FOV, not horizontal.
You can use this calculator to get the FOV value you want: http://mkncreations.com/files/bfbc2_fovcalc/fovcalc.php

I use 78, so I get 110 horizontal FOV.
