I've also played this game for some 30+ years (to and from, obviously). Still, it's at moments like these that you pause for moment, brieflyconsidering your life choices..

For any hardcore fan that might see this;
I wiped all other European powers and they wiped most of the natives first, this was planned so I could get around the max units engine limitation.

17 colonies, all fully upgraded and self-sufficient. 19 Frigates, 9 Galleons, and 120 Artillery.

Played in the Americas, all of the king's expeditionary forces landed in a colony close to where today's New Orleans would've been. That was my main cluster and obviously best guarded as well. They were quickly annihilated.
