How to survive a DevStream
By Champion of Fortnite
So, you're a member of 10 Chambers, and you were invited by the powers that be to join the Dev Stream. You know the stats, you know it's reputation, mortality rates are high, but with the proper training, and a good head on your shoulder, you might survive for as long as 18 minutes on B4! Here's how you do that...

(Guide inspired by the beautiful GTFO Community and the wonderful Twitch Chat they represent)

Section 1: How you got here.
Let me guess. You've probably put on a nice suit, gone on a nice website, submitted a nice resume, maybe held a nice interview!

Whichever way it goes, congratulations on your employment at 10 Chambers! With your hard work and dedication, GTFO is shaping up beautifully into one of the most beautifully unique (co-op!) horror games of all time. It's compelling, fun, and... Insanely brutal.

Let me help you out with that last point there!
Section 2: Pre-stream preparation
Breathe. Drink. Have a light snack.

Breathing proper is very important to starting the stream off on the right foot, not only is oxygen intake(and outtake!) very important to day to day life(if you don't take care of this one you can't be on dev streams, making your stream performance instantly lethal, if not also highly unlikely)
Breathing exercises can also be used as highly effective de-stressing mechanisms. If you're ever in the need of a calming re-breather, count to four, inhale, count to four, exhale!
Pro tip: The counting MUST be done internally, as that consumes the least amount of oxygen

Drinking water is also fundamental to proper self-maintenance. It's recommended you drink 2 liters of water, every single day. That's a lot of water! I cannot help you with acquiring so much water, but be sure not to buy all your water in the same place all at one time, as it makes you sound sus as Hell and they might not let you vent around too much if you do. Drinking caffeine or sugar rich beverages might help you with your energy output but they might have adverse health effects. Please consult a dietrician in regards to the right amount of caffeine for you.

Now, having a light snack is OPTIONAL but it may still prove highly invaluable. Eating on stream may be considered bad manners, at least if you don't ask your fellow co-hosts their opinion. Please, clear this up with the rest of the team before eating ON stream. That said, I hear the offices are full of snacks, something should keep you from getting up mid-stream and leaving your squadmates hanging. They're depending ON YOU!
Section 3: Heyyy, everybody, welcome to the stream!
Oh no, the stream is here. Ok, remain calm, remember what you learned in section 2 of this guide, you may just make it through to the end.

Once you're in-game, you need to play GTFO the best way you know how! If you don't know how to play GTFO, refer to any other guides on the matter.

The one thing that differs is your team. A crucial part of GTFO is cooperation, so a huge part of the DevStream experience is who you're with! Viktor's trustworthy, he can host a stream and he can pack a punch, but who are your two other co-hosts?

If you can choose, I'd recommend Ulf and Alex. You might be tempted to invite Svante, but under no circumstances will you be allowed to get Svante on DevStream; Doing so will break the game, undo the fabric of time, crash Twitch and get 10 Chambers in hot waters with the TSCS(Twitch Streaming Coalition of Sweden)

Don't even consider it. Don't think about it. Unread that last bit. Delete it from your mind-palace. Farewell. Bye bye. Alley-yoop, down the brain drain.

Good.
Section 4: Closing statements and the post-stream
Hey, open your eyes. You've made it. You've survived! You wrapped it up, all 30 minutes of B4, and you celebrated by doing D1 with no downs. Your choice to go Maul only helped all four of you in the long-term, greatly. Svante's happy for you, he lets out a smile behind you on the webcam. Chat goes PogChamp. You are a hero to the dev stream!

If you're reading this from top to bottom, I'm sorry. I didn't account for that. You're almost there, final expedition, you have this! If you start losing faith, or need a pick-me-up, ask chat to drop some HackettDabs and Love emotes for you. Don't worry about inconveniencing chat, you deserve this. It's all you, honey. You're doing great. You're scanning for the extraction, swarmed by hordes and hordes of creepsters. Remember what I told you. Count to four, Inhale, count to four, exhale. Close your eyes.
