Going to the link will bring you to the discord with the link to Scarab, click Windows to download it for windows or click any of the other underlined text depending what your using.




It should say to extract the file and after just open the .exe



Opening it should find your Hollow Knight folder just click yes.

You should end up with a list of mods just find HKMP and click installed?


Enabled should get a check mark right after you click installed.



When it installs open Hollow Knight and see in the top left corner if it says HKMP



If it doesn't try doing it again

Click the windows logo to install the windows version of ZeroTier.






Have you and your friends download ZeroTier and make accounts.

It should appear in your taskbar if not click the arrow in your task bar and click it to open it up this small window should appear.

For whoever is hosting the Hollow Knight server go to my.zerotier.com to be brought to their page (THIS IS WHY YOU NEED AN ACCOUNT)



Click create a network and then just click the name of the network




Copy and Paste the network id and give it to your friends







Find IPv4 Auto-Assign and click 10.147.20.*



While your friends put the code in the join network section it should have them pop up in members


Click the small box under Auth? when you see them.


After click open control panel click the name of the network and give your friends the managed IP
Set the Port to 26950, put your IP in click to show and set your username that you want your friends to see



When your done with all of that click start hosting

To join your friend put the managed IP they sent you, the port 26950 and, add your username then click connect when they started hosting.

you and your friends have to download each others skins that you want to be able to see each others skins.

after go to your steam library/right click Hollow Knight/Managed/Browse local files/hollow_knight_data/managed/mods/HKMP/skins

Drag and drop the files of each other skins into the skins file. (DONT CLOSE FILE EXPLORER)




Open then close the game and click on the skin file a text document called id.txt should appear click it enter any number then save the notepad

(you and your friends have to do this for every skin they all have to be the same number as the one you put and also the number they put for their skin.)





Enter Hollow Knight and click settings on the right side of the screen and enter the number for your skin that you set in text document

(You have to be in the server for it to work and the host has to host the server to switch into the skin)






























It should display your skin instantly in the game and if your friends did it also you can see what they have.

Thank you for taking the time to read the guide i know they have their own but i found it confusing and the YouTube video was out of date so it made it harder for me to understand so i made a guide on how to do it
