Introduction
Reading and writing more in your daily life is the best way to improve your vocabulary and get better at word games.
Basics
Worlde uses British spelling. Keep this in mind when solving for fish names.

Word Finders
You can use anagram tools like Word Finder.[wordfinder.yourdictionary.com] Don't constantly rely on this tool or it may ruin the game for you. Fill out the "enter letters" box with the letters in the puzzle (up to 20 letters). Then enter the length of a word before doing the search. Quickly look through the results for the words that match the puzzle category.

Rare Letters
The least common letters are J, K, Q, V, W, X, Z, V. Looking for these letters should be the next thing you do. If you can't think of any words that start or end with these letters then you should look for common prefixes/suffixes that include them (see Prefixes/Suffixes section).

Brute Force
Pick a letter as the start of a word and try to form every possible word you can think of using it.
Vocabulary Lists
If you are dealing with a difficult subject then you should start by studying it. Searching for a "glossary" or "terminology" on the subject can be helpful. Use the glossary as a cheat sheet when solving the puzzle.

Ecology glossary[en.wikipedia.org], Biomes (ecosystems)[en.wikipedia.org]
Common fish names[en.wikipedia.org]
Musical instruments[en.wikipedia.org], Music terminology[en.wikipedia.org]

You can also create your own glossary. I created a few of these below and added a search feature.
