Quick Start Guide:
  1. Extract all files to the game’s installation folder (e.g. "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered\").
  2. Start the MWRSPFovFixGUI.exe to configure the mod (might require .NET runtime 3.1.0[dotnet.microsoft.com]).
  3. Start the game as usual (e.g. through Steam).
Configuration
Note that the game uses two FOV values: A vertical base FOV and a scaling factor; which also affects the of the weapon. The effective FOV is calculated by using both of these two values.
By default, the game uses a base FOV of 65.0 and a weapon scaling of 1.0.

Features
The features of this mod include:
  • Option to set the vertical FOV to almost arbitrary values
  • Option to set the FOV scale of the weapon model
  • Simple to install and use
  • Easy to configure via a GUI and ingame bindings
Supported Versions
This mod is designed for the latest version of the game and might not be compatible with older or modified executables!

Makes a sound, but it doesn't work.

It´s a shame but does not work for me, I get the voice telling me its activated but nothing changes. I did what Ansiando said and disabled the controller input in steam but no luck.

Was cracking my head as to why this wasn't working anymore until I saw Ansiando's comment. What a random little quirk. Thanks! :DukeCash:

Hey its not working for me. I extracted the files but I don't have a "MWRSPFovFixGUI.exe" file anywhere. Please help
Ansiando 14 Aug, 2024 @ 7:57pm
This still works, but you MUST go to MWR's game properties on Steam to DISABLE Steam Input in the controller settings.

I changed my FOV to 90 but when I boot the game. It doesn't make any difference. I also added the keybinds to adjust while in game and it does not do anything.

Just adding to here to say that Finley's instructions work, it makes this work!

Copy Pasting here just in case:

1. Open Steam Big Picture mode
2. Go to 'Library', then select MW Remastered
3. Click 'Manage Game', then under 'Controller Options' ensure the first option is set to 'Forced Off', then click 'OK'

Oh, wow. Couldn't get this to work for the life of me until Finley pointed out the controller settings caveat. Might wanna consider writing that observation on the .txt, lot of people use Steam to manage the controller drivers these days. Anyway, thanks a ton fellas! 65 vertical is just a huge no no.

Thanks very much for making this! It seems that the fix doesn't work if you have Steam setup to manage your controller driver as this prevents the game loading the custom xinput.dll. The following got it working for me:

1. Open Steam Big Picture mode
2. Go to 'Library', then select MW Remastered
3. Click 'Manage Game', then under 'Controller Options' ensure the first option is set to 'Forced Off', then click 'OK'
