Here it is. The biggest project that I have ever worked on in my mapping road. In a month of map making and designing, it is finished! Console is a map based off my other map, Take and Hold but this time with a twist. Here you will have a lot of combat within the Citadel as it introduces environment changing feels. This map also contains a feature that no other map has done before last time I checked, three built in modes. Sandbox Mode. Don't you hate when maps include to versions of itself with events and one without? What if you played the events and wanted to play it without the events but had to load a different map of the same thing. Inconvenient right? I have solved this by including Sandbox mode inside the single map allowing you to play it as if it was cleaned out. Console Hack. Console hack is the main mode where it takes the Take and hold experience and twists it a bit. Start hacking a console and defend until it is complete. Alyx will assist you during your runs. But wait! That's not all. Combine Assaults will randomly occur when nothing is happening to break the silence. As gameplay goes on, the Citadel will get increasingly unstable to a point of turning the environment into a deadly weapon. Combine Combat never got so flavorful! Deathmatch. I bet you can relate to this. Have you ever played maps that supported npcs and you wanted to have some fun fighting some? But the problem you had is you had to manually spawn the npcs in then kill them and respawn them. Not fun yeah? I solved this as well in this map. Deathmatch mode utilizes the Combine Assault System to feed a constant flow of Combine for your murderous enjoyment. Alyx is there to cheer you on. Deathmatch is not safe from the Citadel Meltdown however. As fighting goes on, the Citadel with begin to become unstable just like in Console Hack. This will prove to make combat more intense. Combat just got interesting with Console Hack and Deathmatch.

The main purpose of Combine assaults is to break silence. This adds pressure onto the player as if a Assault is in progress.. All uncompleted Consoles will lock until a certain amount of combine soldiers are killed unlocking the uncompleted Consoles. Take your time and you'll risk an assault. For balancing reasons, all Assault Soldiers will drop health vials.

As Deathmatch/Console Hack gameplay goes on, the Citadel becomes increasingly unstable increasing the difficulty in assaults and later making the environment itself unstable by, exposed energy, explosions, and fire. Citadel Meltdown changes the feel of the map in its stages.

:- Whenever you Admin Cleanup the map, you will be teleported back to spawn allowing you to choose a different built in mode.

:- Sometimes you die in combat and you lose weapons. That's alright because the map will now give you the set weapons and ammo then teleports you back to the last Console or Active Console allowing you jump back in and get revenge. This system works for Deathmatch but will only respawn you in one spot.

I'd like to thank EVERYONE in advance that played this and tried it out and even leaving support. I can't explain on how grateful I am for support being put onto this map. It's truly a pleasure to create NPC maps that are interesting and fun for you. Again for the last time, thank you dearly and I'll see you in my next map! Take care! ..And goodnight!
