Intro
Two different versions

If you look closely at the screenshots on the store page of this game you may notice that on some the menu is at the bottom and in some the menu is at the top. You may also notice the refinded graphics in the ones with the menu at the top. The reason for this is that the game was originally developed for MS-DOS in 1993. An enhanced CD-ROM version was published a year later. It included revamped graphics in SVGA resolution and voice acting.

How to change game versions
Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on which version you prefer) the game starts in the older 1993 VGA version. If you want to switch to the SVGA version (which personally I highly recommend) please follow the steps below.

Follow these steps:
  1. Right click the game in your library
(Alternativly click on the cogwheel on the games page in your library)

  2. Choose "Properties"
  3. From the menu on the left select "BETAS"
  4. A drop down menu should appear on the right titled
Select the beta you would like to opt into:
  5. Click it
  6. Select
    vgaversion-vgaversion

  7. Close the settings dialoge
  8. Wait for Steam to update your game files
  9. Start your game

Congratulations
You just entered the SVGA HQ GFX age.

Enjoy!

I tried this and it is really great. But on Steam Deck this version has slow downs and speed ups so my advice is to stay with the low res version.
