there are some small caves along the cliff edges that have a little puddle in them you can drink from. I made my first camp at one of those. need to stick close to water. Water skins lose water almost as fast as your thirst. chests will get damaged by a storm, but wood stacks and rock stacks and campfires do not so you can store your goodies in campfires until you have a house.

@Black Eagle I have updated the "Beta Map: Caves! (so far)" to highlight the water areas. I will be updating more of the maps to include these kinds of updates!

@Kalech. Thanks for the tip. I'll give that a try. I also added more speed as a perk, so we'll see how that works against running from that fast bear!

can anyone make a map with legend, water, more threes ore etc. with mass of them?

@Curbster Tip for bears if you're close to water. You can kill bears pretty easily if you can get into water deep enough to swim. Swim backwards while shanking it repeatedly in the head with the knife. It'll be right behind you but it will be just out of range to hit you, while you'll still be able to hit it.

The game is pretty fun to play. I do enjoy the weather changes and the survival aspect of the game. I've died by that damn bear a few times, no way to out run or out smart the guy. I did shoot him through the window, must of pissed him off, he started smashing in my wooden wall. I kept hitting him with arrows through the window opening, once he broke through the wooden wall, I was able pulled out my skinning knife, as he rushed at me and I finished him off. He seemed to of gotten his head stuck through the window, Serves him right! .LOL !
