Introduction
So you just got Spin Rhythm, and you might want to just get right into a song. But there are a few settings you might want to adjust.

Some of these settings are pretty important to get done before you start playing. This guide will be divided by category for ease of use.
General
Gamepad aim assist
Provides aim assist for controller/gamepad use. Turn it on if you use a gamepad and want to have note aim assist.

Hold note assist
Provides assistance for hold notes. Personally, I did not feel much of a difference, but you can check it if you like it.

Clear notes after misses
When you miss a couple notes in a row, this setting would clear a few bars of notes ahead, preventing more misses. This can be useful for a player starting out who gets easily confused after a few misses. It is recommended to disable this setting when you start to get decent at the game to improve your scores.

Pause game when focus is lost
Pauses the game when you tab out of a game or click on a window that brings you out of the game.

Enable peripheral RGB
Provides Razer Chroma support. See below video for a demonstration.

Language
Set to the language of your choosing.

Calibrate
Adjusts the timing of the video and audio for playing accuracy. DO THIS ON YOUR FIRST START UP ON EVERY SYSTEM. I personally run the tool a few times a month to make sure that the calibration is correct. Run the tool a few times to get an accurate setting. It will be different depending on your computer, display, and audio configuration.
Visual
Resolution Scale
Changes the rendering resolution of the game. Bringing it below 100% will improve performance, but can make the game lose clarity or appear blurry.

Resolution
Changes the output resolution and refresh rate of the game.

Screen window mode
Can be set to exclusive fullscreen, borderless window, and windowed mode. Setting the game to exclusive fullscreen may slightly improve performance/responsiveness.

Graphics quality
Changes graphics detail. Set it how you like depending on visuals/performance.

Background quality
Changes the background details. The background reacts in chunks depending on the notes. Reducing the setting reduces the number of chunks and some other details. Set it how you prefer depending on visuals/performance.

Anti-aliasing
Smooths out "jaggies" on diagonal lines or can be turned off. Adjust it depending on looks vs performance.

Use VSync
Prevents tearing, but can reduce responsiveness. It is recommended to turn off especially if you have FreeSync/G-Sync enabled on your system, but you can have it enabled if the tearing is particularly distracting.

Frame Buffering
Essentially defines the number of frames ahead that get prerendered. Single is recommended unless you have issues such as frame jumps that distracts/confuses you.

Framerate limit
Can set a cap on frames rendered per second. Recommended to be set to unlimited unless you are trying to prevent excessive power usage. Otherwise, you should set it to where you feel comfortable (typically one would want to set it about 5-15 frames above your display's refresh rate).
Audio
Volume
There are four sliders for various sounds. You can set the volume for each and get a preview on how it sounds.

Play sound effect for notes
Makes a clicking sound when a note is played.

Mute game when focus is lost
Prevents the game from making sound when you look at a different window.

Disable audio filters
Enabling this setting plays the song without any sound adjustments.
Input
Controls
You can change control settings divided by input method.

Hold mouse click to move
You can see the below video for a short demonstration. Having it disabled is rather common for most players, but there are some players who have this enabled (see TreXDer). Try both modes and pick the one that you prefer.

Use motion controls
For controllers that have this feature. Set how you see fit.

Use rotating joystick controls
Instead of moving the stick left or right to move the wheel, you would move the joystick in a circular motion to move it. Try it and pick one.

Wheel sensitivity
Adjusts how quickly the wheel moves with your controls. Set it based on preference.

Joystick deadzone
Adjusts the size of the deadzone for joystick users.
Accessibility
Simple background
Removes the background. Can be used for performance. Turn the setting on if you find the background to be distracting.

Disable damage feedback
There are some effects that appear when you miss a note/take damage. Enabling this setting removes most of those effects.

Disable audio spectrum visualizer
There is an audio spectrum visualizer towards the back of the music track. Enabling this setting removes it.

Disable camera shake
What it says it does.

Contrasting note designs
By default, the notes are shaped the same. Enabling this setting changes the shape of one of the note colors to help differentiate it further than color.

Color
You can change the colors of every note in the game. It is recommended to make sure that none of the notes are the same color, or you could misread them.

Enable track speed override
By default, the track speed can vary depending on difficulty. Enabling this setting can lock the speed to a set value determined by the "Track speed override" setting. Increasing the value increases the track speed, which can reduce the density of notes on the screen.

Note beam length/brightness
The colors on the wheel can extend in a beam depending on the upcoming notes. You can adjust the length of that beam and the brightness.

Track lines length/brightness/color
There are vertical lines along the track, which can help you better determine a note's horizontal position. You can adjust the lines' length and brightness. You can also set the lines to be colored based on the wheel's alignment.
