My main goal is to learn to sprite rip but theres plenty of things i can mess with with my current reverse engineering and computer knowledge, so I'll just list some useful stuff I've learned

Using cutter and specifying x86 architecture, 16 bit, and DOS It's pretty clear whats going on and its surprisingly close to a high level language, for example

you can see Zorros specials (its in numpad notation) and that leads to all sorts of funny stuff if you get to messing with it, that was the .sfc file btw

Part 2: finding more information
My main goal is to find the images needed for a spritesheet but along the way I found some nice things

using this tool https://www.toolsley.com/inspect.html I was able to find audio files and character exclusive graphics not of them but their special meters and stuff like that. This is useful because we now know that .sfp files contain graphics and audio. You can also open up the vs.sfp but its the same for every character, its just the opening graphics.


this is a WIP and I will update it as I find more stuff

It's kinda wild that they're storing character commands as an MS-DOS executable.
