More clocks; compounded room boosts

To what extent can you use boosts in a room?

The Clock
The clock is listed as giving a slight boost to effectiveness within a room.

The effectiveness boost of a single clock is 6.7%.

Adding another clock to a room of which already has a clock will incur a boost of 10% effectiveness, a 3.3% increase. But, adding more clocks to the 2 already in the room will do nothing. Even at 4 clocks a room will still only have a bonus of 10%.
The Bookshelf
The bookshelf is listed as giving a boost to employee skill

The bookshelf gives a boost of 16.7% to the skills of employees.

Adding a second bookshelf will increase the bonus from 16.7% to 25%, an 8.3% increase. As is the same with the clock, adding more than 2 of the same items will not increase the bonus.

Now, none of this matters
A room of 24 meters cubed with one bookshelf will have a bonus of 16.7%, but a room of 12 meters squared will have the full 25% bonus. i.e., a smaller room incurs a larger bonus and a larger room incurs a smaller bonus.
What does this mean?
Something something two of everything. Good day everyone.

Well, this is not entirely correct. Boost depends on room size. If you have bigger rooms you need more than just 2 pieces. And you need art and plants too. You want your coders to feel comfortable, don't you. ;)
