Personally, for me, I hate GTA Online. Sure, it can be pretty fun with friends, but the downsides massively outweigh the upsides. For one, it feels like a free to play game even though it's a paid game, and the amount of modders is absolutely horrendous.

But, I still love GTA V, for it's gameplay, story, characters, all of that good stuff. So if you're like me and wanted to do something in GTA other than drive around the map for an hour wondering what to do, why not try and 100% the game?

In all honestly, 100% is not as hard as it really seems, it's just tedious. You don't even have to do everything in the game to actually get 100%. I'm here to explain what you need to do in order to achieve it.

There are 5 different categories for 100%, these being:

Missions - These are all the main story missions including the Lester assassination missions.
Hobbies and Pastimes - Side activities that you can participate in around the map.
Strangers and Freaks - Strangers and Freaks missions (missions with ?) that appear around the map.
Random Events - Events that appear on the map randomly(?).
Miscellaneous - Anything else that either doesn't belong in the other categories or wasn't mentioned. This includes things such as collectables.

If you're just looking for things in a specific category, you can use the sidebar on the right to navigate to it.

I shouldn't have to go too in-depth into this because it's pretty obvious. These are all the main missions in the game that will eventually lead to the completion of the game, including the Lester assassination missions.

I recommend completing the game first before doing things in the other categories, just so you won't run into any problems trying to access Strangers and Freaks missions or other activities.

I should add that Micheal's phone call side missions (with Amanda getting arrested by the police, Jimmy being kidnapped, etc) are completely optional and do not count towards 100% in any way.

These will probably be the things that use up the second most amount of your time (Miscellaneous taking up the most). There are a lot of things to do here, so strap in.

You must earn at least a bronze medal in all 3 challenges in each category in the shooting range, these being Hand Guns, Submachine Guns, Assault Rifles, Machine Guns, and Heavy (Don't worry about the Bonus one, as it is optional).

You must earn 3rd place or higher in all 5 street races. Street races can be unlocked by completing the Strangers and Freaks mission Shift Work. Completing a street race will unlock the next one the following day.

NOTES: Street races can only be accessed by Franklin, and only open between 20:00 and 5:00 (nighttime).
For the last race, in the Vespucci Canals, it can only be accessed with a motorcycle.

Street race locations are marked with this icon, and have a green check mark if you've already completed it.


Win against your opponent in tennis. For the quickest option, you sure you select 1 game instead of 1 set.

NOTES:
Tennis is unlocked after completing the mission Complications.

Tennis courts are marked with this icon.


As the title implies, you must score par or below in Golf. Golf isn't too hard and par for each hole isn't too demanding, so it shouldn't be too hard.

NOTES:
Golf can only be accessed during daytime, and is unlocked after completing the mission Complications.

The golf course is marked with this icon.

Win against your opponent in Darts, whether it be a regular opponent or in a hangout. It may take you a few tries since Darts is a bit harder than the other minigames, but just keep trying until you get it. Make sure you actually read the rules to Darts, or else you'll have no idea what you're doing.

NOTES: Darts is unlocked after completing the mission Crystal Maze.

Clearly the most horrifying task of them all. Go up to one of the women walking around in the strip club to ask them for a dance.
Scared of women? Fear not! You can leave the second you start the dance, and it'll still count towards 100%.

Earn 3rd or higher in all Triathlons. Completing a Triathlon unlocks the next immediately after. Literally just hold down shift (or mash A if you're using a controller). That's it.

NOTES:
Having max stamina as a character helps a lot during triathlons, as having a max stamina stat prevents your stamina bar during triathlons from decreasing, which is especially helpful during the last triathlon, since it is around 30 minutes in length.
Triathlons are unlocked after completing the mission Daddy's Little Girl.

Earn 3rd or higher in all 6 offroad races. Completing one unlocks the next immediately after. You cannot use your own vehicle during offroad races, as you are given one when entering.

NOTES:
The 3rd offroad race, which takes place in the quarry, is only available between 20:00 and 3:00 (nighttime).
Offroad races are unlocked after completing the mission Mr. Philips.

Offroad races are marked with this icon, and have a green check mark if you've completed it.


You must complete all the missions in the flight school and obtain at least a bronze medal or better in all missions. I highly recommend using a controller for this, as it is much easier to fly with a controller (especially if your keyboard doesn't have a numpad).

NOTES: The flight school is unlocked after completing the mission Friends Reunited. It cannot be accessed by Trevor.

Earn 3rd or higher in all 4 sea races. You do not need to bring your own jetski/boat, as you are given one automatically. Note that the race becomes more difficult depending on the weather (such as rain, thunderstorms, etc).

NOTES: Sea races are unlocked after completing the mission Hood Safari.

Sea races are marked with this icon, and have a green check mark if you've completed it.

Complete all the Parachute Jumps located around the map. Some parachute locations are hard to get to on foot, so I recommend using a helicopter to go from location to location.

NOTES:
Parachuting unlocks after completing the Strangers and Freaks mission Risk Assessment.
Although Franklin is the only one who can complete Dom's missions, any character can participate in parachute jumps.
Completing all parachute jumps unlocks the mission Uncalculated Risk, which unlocks after completing every other Dom mission.

Parachute jumps are marked with this icon, and have a green check mark if you've completed it.

There are a lot of Strangers and Freaks missions in the game, with 58 different missions in total. However, only 20 of these missions actually need to be complete.
Uniquely, all these missions can only be completed with Franklin. These missions are:

Unlocks after completing the main story mission Repossession.

Unlocks after completing Pulling Favors.

Unlocks after completing Pulling Another Favor.
Some players may think that they cannot progress because this mission has not spawned on the map. This is not the case, however. This mission and Still Pulling Favors are unique in the fact that you need to call Tonya in order to start the mission. If you see that you have a mission as Franklin, but cannot access it by normal means, try calling Tonya.

Unlocks after completing Pulling Favors Again.
This mission also starts via calling Tonya.

Unlocks after completing Still Pulling Favors.

Unlocks after completing Pulling Favors and the main story mission Chop. Unlocks street races.

Unlocks after completing Pulling Favors and the main story mission Complications.
Weirdly enough, this mission does not count towards 100%, but is needed to unlock other missions for 100%.

Unlocks after completing Paparazzo.

Unlocks after completing Paparazzo - The Sex Tape and the main story mission Three's Company.

Unlocks after completing Paparazzo - The Partnership.

Unlocks after completing Paparazzo - The Partnership.
This mission doesn't count towards 100% either, but is required to unlock another mission for 100%.

Unlocks after completing both Paparazzo - The Meltdown and Paparazzo - The Highness.
Blow Beverly up for bonus points!

Unlocks after collecting all 50 letter scraps around the map.
Although any character can collect letter scraps, only Franklin can access the mission.

Unlocks after completing the main story mission Three's Company.

Unlocks after completing Grass Roots - Franklin.
This mission does not count towards 100%, but is needed to unlock a mission that does.

Unlocks after completing Grass Roots - Franklin.
This mission also doesn't count towards 100%, but is needed to unlock a mission that does.

Unlocks after completing both Grass Roots - The Pickup and Grass Roots - The Drag.

Unlocks after completing the main story mission Predator.

Unlocks after completing the main story mission Fame or Shame.
This mission spawns the 50 spaceship parts around the map. You cannot collect them otherwise.

Unlocks after collecting all 50 spaceship parts.
Although any character can collect the spaceship parts, only Franklin can access the mission.
Go drive the cool space car while you're at it, you deserve it after spending hours collecting spaceship parts.

Unlocks after completing the main story mission Minor Turbulence. Unlocks parachute jumps.

Unlocks after completing Risk Assessment.

Unlocks after completing Liquidity Risk.

Unlocks after completing Targeted Risk and completing all parachute jumps.

Random events are unlocked by completing either Complications or the Strangers and Freaks mission Pulling Favors.

Fun fact: Random events aren't actually random. They will always spawn when approaching the location of the random event from specific angle (like a specific road). You'll know when a random event spawns when your radar flashes.

There are a total of 60 random events in the PC version of GTA V, with 100% only requiring you to complete 14 of these. If you're playing through the game normally, you should be be able to get 14 random events completed (or close to) if you participate in all of them when you can. If not, then driving to various locations around the map should allow you to find some random events to complete. If you're still struggling with finding some, I recommend using MapGenie's GTA V collectible map to find some.

Don't worry about finding duplicate events, as events cannot repeat themselves when complete, but they will still repeat themselves if you choose not to participate.

This is the section that will most likely take up the most of your time, even though it shows to have only a few tasks. This is mainly due to the collectables, stunt jumps, under the bridges, and knife flights. You're almost there! Don't worry!

Properties are available for purchase after completing the mission Nervous Ron. Properties are marked with this icon.

It doesn't matter what characters you buy the properties with, as long as you have 5 properties in total.
Some properties can only be purchased by specific characters. The property will be grayed out if the current character you're playing as cannot buy it.
Although more than 5 properties will always be available, some properties can only be obtained through certain missions.
Note that garages, docks and helipads do not count as properties and therefore won't contribute to the total.

Doesn't matter what vehicle, doesn't what site, as long as you can drive it.
(or buy the Panto cause you're a pimp)

These are the things that will most likely take up the most of your time. There are a few ways to go about collecting these, a few options being:
-using an existing guide to find the collectables
-watching a walkthrough on youtube
-using a map to find each collectable

Personally, I used MapGenie's GTA V collectable map. It allows you to display whatever collectables or locations you want, and allows you to to track what collectables you have and haven't found if you make an account. Whatever you want to use is up to personal preference.

Note that spaceship parts will only appear around the map after completing the Strangers and Freaks mission Far Out.

If you're feeling bored or burnt out while collecting the letter scraps and spaceship parts, then don't be afraid to take a break! I'll be honest, this part of 100% is extremely boring, so don't be spending your whole day doing so.

Collecting all 50 spaceship parts unlocks the mission The Final Frontier, and collecting all 50 letter scraps unlocks the mission A Starlet in Vinewood.

Chop is available to the player after completing the mission Chop.
Going up to Chop will make him follow you. Bring him to an empty location and throw the ball that appears in your inventory while with Chop (in the throwables section of the weapon wheel). Chop will fetch the ball and run back to you with it.
If you've just finished Caida Libre, Franklin will be playing fetch with Chop already, so it can save you time for completing 100% if you're still going through the main missions.

There are multiple ways to go about this, but the most easy and accessible way is to call Ursula. Calling her number (3285550103) on your phone in-game will start a booty call regardless of where you are or what character you are. Just make sure you're not in a mission before you start it, otherwise it won't work.

In order to receive a prostitutes services, get a car high in value (most sports or super cars work), and, during the nighttime, look around South Los Santos for women on sidewalks and honk at them. They should enter your car. Afterwards, go to an unpopulated area (like an alley) and you should be allowed to choose a service. The amount you pay doesn't matter, as long as you complete the service.
If you really want to, you can kill the prostitute afterwards to get your money back. Hooray!

There are a few stores around Los Santos that can be entered and robbed, the most known one being at the location of The Multi-Target Assassination mission. Enter the store and point your gun at the cashier. He will hand you the money after several seconds, or you can kill them and get the money yourself.
If you wanna do a cool thing and haven't done The Multi-Target Assassination yet, you can rob the store and instantly lose your wanted level by starting the mission.

Similar to the collectables, these will take you a while to complete. Thankfully, you only have to do half of each (25 stunt jumps and under the bridges, 8 knife flights) to complete it. If you're having trouble finding stunt jumps, bridges, or knife flights, I suggest using a map to find them.
To have a knife flight count, you must be in a plane and fly sideways through the knife flight.
If the cinematic camera throws you off while doing stunt jumps, you can hold the weapon aim button while doing the stunt jump to keep the normal camera while doing the stunt jump.

Visit a cinema, whether it be by yourself or with another character in a hangout. You can enter and immediately leave if you want.

There are 4 different hangout activities that are required for 100%. You can initiate a hangout by going to your phone and calling the character you want to hang out with.
Visit a bar: Go to a bar around the map. They are marked with this icon and are only visible during a hangout.

Visit the cinema: As previously said, you can immediately enter and leave if you want.
Visit the strip club: Go to the strip club. You do not need to preform any other actions there; you can leave the second you're allowed to ask the other character to leave.
Play darts: Refer to the Hobbies and Pastimes section for info about darts. You need to win darts as well for this to count.
