Gadget Galore

Descripción
Gadget Galore is a mod that adds a small variety of gadgets that could be helpful during your playthrough.

Content
Building Tools
The building tools are tools bought from the Mechanic, and make use of the build slot the mod adds. It allows you to place blocks, walls, platforms and paint placed in the build slot in various shapes and sizes, such as lines, circles, squares and more. Each tool has an alternate mode as well, in most cases filling in said shape. You can switch by binding a key to it and pressing said key. All the tool can be combined into one single tool as well for convenience.
The items will be consumed from your inventory, unless disabled in the config file. The building tools can also be disabled in the config file, if desired, i.e. for servers.

Paint Tools
The Bucket of Paint Tools and the Ghostly Painter are tools crafted from the vanilla paint tools and spectre paint tools respectively. It allows you to use the paint tools more conveniently by using the familiar wire UI-like menu. The Ghostly Painter expands on this more by allowing you to choose a paint type from the radial menu, in addition to the tools.

Paint Slot
The paint slot is an item slot below your inventory, next to the build slot, that can hold a type of paint. Placing a paint type in here will cause all paint tools, and the Bucket of Paint Tools, to use it over all other paint types in your inventory, allowing you to sort your paints to your liking instead of having to put the paint you want to use first in your inventory.

Altar Container
The Altar Container is a small tool bought from the Mechanic that allows you to pick up, and place, a vanilla altar. It can still be smashed to cause Hardmode ore to spawn when placed again.

Detector Compass
The Detector Compass is a tool that serves as an add-on to the Metal Detector, and thus is only available from the Traveling Merchant if you have obtained the Metal Detector or any of its upgrades. If held, a compass will point towards the "best ore" displayed by the Metal Detector.

Master Wand
The Master Wand is a tool that combines all the block placing wands together, it can be crafted from all the individual wands.

Been planning to do it, but still need a good name for the item and idea for the sprite!

I love this mod! I wish I could upgrade the infinity basin with the bottomless shimmer bucket though. Thank you for your work :TBGCursorYes:

Clay pots are intended, they can't be placed in mid-air, as they need a tile or platform below them.

Platform replacements are working on my end, including Calamity platforms, you need to have block swap on for it to work.

As for removing tiles, this has been requested before, but I won't be implementing it. It's too griefy, and I also don't want to take away a big part of the game (mining).

also you cant place clay pots for example with the drawing board, weird

its not replacing platforms, just tried calamity platform and its not replacing, would be also nice to have option to just remove blocks/walls using the drawing board or other tool if needed

You mean block replace? It should do that already if it's turned on. I believe I set it to use your highest pickaxe power? Been a while since I developed due to life and my job.

I think the only issue with this mod is that there isn't a toggle option to destroy and replace every tile. Very useful for large builds

I am glad to hear that. I think that was planned at one point, but I am not sure what stopped me from doing it. I might add them at some point in the future. Now that I think about it, I might have added them to the paint slot, but not the painter.

The items really helped me building my adventure map with a lot more efficiency! But there's just a small hindrance to the ghostly painter -- it doesn't allow use of illuminant and echo coating. Would it be possible to update the item? Hopefully the sprites won't be too much trouble :sbgary: Thanks anyway!!!
