Coming back to One Piece Warriors 3 after a few years and the first thing I encountered was my controller button mapping being all over the shop and unplayable.
'Start' didn't skip cutscenes, 'A' was 'X', 'B' was 'Y', triggers were look left and right - seriously?!

While there are a few 3rd party apps out there that allow you to remap your controller buttons (something I used myself a few years back), I found that some of them simply no longer work today.

So, this guide goes through something some of you may not be aware of - and that is that Steam itself has a fast and easy way to configure your controller button mapping (for any game actually) with existing community created controller profiles!

First things first, turn your controller on and connect it to your PC (wireless or wired).
Easy to miss, but the below step won't be possible if Steam doesn't detect a controller.

1. In your Steam library, make sure One Piece Warriors is selected and then click on Controller Configuration - a new window should pop-up.
   
   
2. Down the bottom, select Browse Configs.
   
   
   
3. Next, select Community on the left and then click on the P1 XBOX ONE S profile.
   You may need to click Sort by Votes (button left) so that you can find this profile near the top.
   
   
   
4. You should now see the Preview screen. Two things to check here, make sure all button mapping for the right thumbstick are configured as per the above image, and that the trigger buttons are set to shift and tab.
   If it all looks good, hit Apply Configuration.
   
   
   
5. Hit Done and that's it. Launch the game and enjoy!
