The Guide
Just a quick guide on flipping junk cars quick. This is a great way to bang out the Achievements "Gambler and Scavenger." You'll need the upgrade "Welder" and Car Wash. Optional upgrades that increase the amount of money you'll get/reduce money spent are Regular Customer 1-3, Good Judgement, Body Repair Station, and Renovator 6.

Simply go to either the Junkyard or the Auction (junk cars). Repair or replace any body parts and windows, use the welder to fix the frame, and use the Interior Detailing kit. Don't bother replacing any parts or engines, these are quick flips.

Painting the car does not increase its sell value. Washing the exterior of the car does not increase its sell value.

You should be able to quickly flip cars for between 5-15k profit doing this. Have some cash saved up before doing this. Not much, at least 20k just to start. The vehicles from the junkyard/scrap auction should only cost between 2k-10k. Welding costs a flat 500, washing is free, and repairing is much cheaper than buying new parts. New parts overall shouldn't cost more than 2k.

If you do the Barn, you're looking at a full rebuild, which takes forever. Barn cars routinely cost 20k+, and can even cost more than the're worth as a flip.

as i can agree washing exterior does not increase cars value, washing interior does. maybe worth pointing this out.

I've been doing this since 2018. I was so excited when I found out repairing was made into a minigame rather than RNG in this release.

You can also use this chest exploit I discovered:

Use an auto clicker when opening chests, and sweep across the cards quickly. This will allow you to open more than two. Make sure you don't open more than 4 cards per chest. Doing this exploits the transitional period between card flips, and if you open all 5 you'll get soft locked with no more cards to open. The only way to fix is restarting the game, thus losing any rewards due to not being able to save. I recommend saving between each chest until you get the hang of it.

Any engine parts that you find that are above 15% that can be repaired can be used to build up your inventory so the cost of future restorations can be reduced. The barns are also loaded with used parts. Don't leave a barn without going through all the stashes of parts to find the ones you can profit from, or can use on a project car. There is always a crate hidden in every barn that you can buy, so never leave a barn without finding the crate. My goal in this game is 100% restoration, and yes that can cost lots of money, but there are many ways to build up your funds in the game. I'm working with about 2 million right now, but it's not about the money. Go to my profile and see the photos of the cars I have restored. That's what it's about for me.

You don't have to buy junk cars to fix up to make fast money in this game. If you can repair body parts, go through all the scrap piles in the junkyard buying all the Maclaren F1 parts you find. Fix whats fixable and sell, and just resell what's beyond repair. Also buy all the Delorien parts, if they are above 15%, they will bring good resale profit. You may spend over 10,000, but some of the F1 body parts sell for over 10,000 for 1 part.

scratch that about repairing the frame... it seems that with 1.08 they made it adjustable for frame repairs instead of a flat 500
