just sharing my commands for a low end pc (i have a one too)

game to dark?

well some times in intel hd the game go like your room in the night unless you have a light or a tv thats another story......

anyways to fix this open the console and put this

mat_hdr_level 2
mat_tonemapping_occlusion_use_stencil 1
the game will start making light

(need to put this everytime you start the game)

flashlight not working

custom resolutions

man the potato gamer best resolution is 640 480 but wtf the game dont let you do that :(

so put in the launch options

-w 640 -h 480

you can use any resolution if you want

beta

go to propeties and go beta and choose crosfire this is the most recommended beta for low-end pc my friend with 2gb ram can run on it

well think you have all codes it work? just create a note called copy/paste black mesa and save

now put all codes together like this

mat_hdr_level 2
mat_tonemapping_occlusion_use_stencil 1

mat_dxlevel 95

the light will go BRRRRRRRRT and the light will FINALLY WORK

less shadows better play

use this command r_shadowmaxrendered 4
and the shadows will be less rendered

motion blur

mat_motion_blur_enabled 0
mat_motion_blur_forward_enabled 0
mat_motion_blur_strength 0
to disable the motion blur

extras

all the commands dont work for you? well i have a final option hope this help you
mat_fullbright 1 this give a lot of fps!
if you are in a version lower that 1.0 the codes for the light might not be need
put the commands in the autoexec and open properties lauch options and put "exec autoexec"
without the quotes
Mat_picmic 3 for lower the textures but more fps you can put 4 or 5 to lower more!

heres a list of commands for fps boost put this in your autoexec
only this is for muilti threaded pcs
cl_threaded_bone_setup 1
cl_threaded_client_leaf_system 1
r_threaded_client_shadow_manager 1
r_threaded_particles 1
r_threaded_renderables 1

and incase if your pc uses async THIS IS THE NUMBER 1# MULTI RENDERING OPTIMIZATION
snd_mix_async 1
async_mode 1
snd_async_fullyasync 1

UPDATE: if it is still laggy or your keyboard delaying, try to update keyboard driver and try to use EmptyStandBy List and create it to task Schedule so your RAM Cache is gone for sure

(you can copy it and paste it into autoexec.cfg in cfg folder)
(P.S: cl_mdldetailfx_enable 0 means disable the blood hand that always makes you laggy, if you want to turn on just changed it into cl_mdldetailfx_enable 1)
( i reccommended to turn off the blood hand if your pc/laptop not good)

or use a autoexec and put on launch options -exec autoexec

Btw if you dont want to type the command to make flashlight work, place this command at launch options "-force_vendor_id 0x10DE -force_device_id 0x1180 -dxlevel 95". After that launch the game and exit the game and delete -dxlevel 95 command to make sure its not reset the settings.

@scum idk why it works for me r_fullbright 1,but i asked my friend if it works and only works with mat not r thanks for the warn
