You can also pretty much get rid of ALL the annoying NPC's on the markets with this, though it might require some finesse to pull it off, since you also have to be fast in order to get close to the target and initiate combat before they run into the line of sight of other NPC's.
I use this to get rid of the towncrier, Ada, those wine and cheese munchers by the well, that one dwarf chick that i "loan" the gloves off of her when the wine and cheese munchers have been dealt with, the magisters patrolling the square.
Once you've managed to free those NPC's from our misery, you can lighten the load from the merchants in the square by rifling through their pockets.
