Place the altar as with any furniture and free pose the model around it.

Most of the furniture mods don't actually interact even though they have the link. They are just static pieces you have to free pose the girls on. Unfortunately, since the update, this has become virtually impossible as the controls have become far too sensitive, and some were pretty poor originally.
