Introduction
After beating the game, I want to share some of the things that I learned. This game is unpredictable though, so I don't think there's any clear way of winning. You have to look at the current stats, and figure out what to do.

Remember: This is a guide, not a walk through.
The Computer
The guy's macbook is probably the most important part of the game. Each app affects different values (except for ones that don't do anything), so it's important to know which one does what.

I don't fully know all of them, but here's what I got:

Coding increases the satisfaction and coding values
Zoom increases the satisfaction and school values, but can only be used from 6AM to 12PM
Steam increases the happiness value
Art increases the satisfaction and art values
Notes doesn't increase anything but it tells you what time school and practice is
Email doesn't increase anything

I'll add more after I finish the rest of this guide.
Going Outside
Another important part of the day is going out the door. You can only go out after 12:30PM.

Outside you'll find other human beings. There are lots of them, and you can talk to all of them. The only problem is you can talk to a maximum of 5 people each day.

Because of one of the postcards, I suggest talking to the same 5 people each day. 4 of them loiter in the same spot, so it's easiest to talk to the ones that stand still.

Besides this, the guy also wants to do practice. Depending on when you start, he does 9 to 2 miles. I have absolutely no idea what practice is for, but you should probably do it. Knowing this game, if you don't do practice it's probably an instant loss, just like if you don't do school.
Sleep
This is the most dangerous part of the game. Each time you go to sleep, pray that your statistics are high enough, because this is where it's decided if you die or not.

Other than that, you see the statistics you're at.

First, it says the amount of sleep you got. This number is sort of amplified, but it still makes sense. If you got negative sleep, that means you really did not get much. If it says something like 47, that simply means you got a lot of sleep.

At first, it might seem that no matter how much sleep you get, everything decreases. But sleep doesn't actually affect the statistics that much. I think that if you get a lot of sleep, you'll get more satisfaction, so just go to bed at like 11:00PM.

The Knife
There's also a knife that, if clicked, supposedly increases your Instantaneous Happiness. It'll do the weird grainy picture animation and some time will go by. Personally, I think it's useless, so don't bother using it unless you're trying to die.
Other Information
Commands
When you're in the computer start-up intro, you can type some commands in.
    List of Commands:
  • help - List of Commands
  • volume [0-100] - Set volume
  • kill - Terminate Program
  • wipe - Clear Save *DANGER*
  • skip - Skip Simulation Bootup
  • language [{english=0}{____=1}{____=2}] - Set Language

Here's how it looks in-game:

Postcards
A postcard is acquired each time you die. If you die on the rainy day before collecting all the postcards, the cat will give you all of them when you talk to him. Each postcard gives you a tip for the game.
    Postcard Tips
  1. Learn to live from trial and error. I will assist you with more information, each time you see me.
  2. Make sure you go to school. Otherwise your satisfaction will decrease very fast.
  3. Bouncing Icons indicated the task to go much faster.

Conclusion
I only really created this guide because there weren't any others, and I felt like I had some knowledge to share.

I might add more to this guide - I know there's not much. I hope this guide helped in some form.

You should definitely check out the other guide made by No-one special, it's really good:
