France & Belgium suburb style

A selection of Low/High Res and commercial Low buildings aiming to recreate modern suburbs common in NW Europe in a way that the scandi looking European Suburbia DLC and Vanilla European theme (a city centre) do not. Inspiration here is the more affluent areas outside Lille, Brussels or Antwerp but this could also easily be used in Dutch, NW Germany, Denmark or Eastern France settings, possibly also UK, Austria.

The number of assets is large as thought has been given to diversity and how this transitions from level 1 to 5 (gentrification) and plot sizes diversity too to avoid 4x4 spams.

All credits of course go to the asset creators – this is just a selection

Residential Low:
A selection of detached houses with a dominant red brick walls/dark tile roof common for the region. All low and no 4x4 McMansions for extra realism. Note some more modern catalogue style white French houses pop up from Level 3 onwards, but still blends well.

Residential High:
A mid rise red brick dominated modern theme. Start with council estate looking level 1 1950s/60s to transition to condominiums as land value rises. A good transition from European city centre theme to the low rise suburbs, but also does not look out of place isolated as height is quite low. Some higher buildings in level 5 but nothing above 70m.

Commercial Low:
A selection of shops, petrol stations, chain restaurants with familiar NW European names/chains. Goes well with both the above Residential zones. Nothing higher than two levels and multiple parking spaces to reflect the commercial zones of the region.

INSTALLATION
To install a style with all its assets:
In the main menu, go from Content Manager -> Styles (on the left) -> Subscribe to All on the style you downloaded.
Then in game, make a district and set the building style to that theme.

There might be issues with the above so I also created a collection with all the assets – just subscribe to all directly in workshop rather than in game (in addition to subscribing to the district theme)

Some assets for some reason do not spawn and do not get loaded to the style – this will help you troubleshoot that. Will also help you kick out some building in Com High, Office and Industrial that you do not want to see

Loading Screen Mod – speed up loading and find missing assets (although no need to subscribe to all)
