Ranking up is more about how much you play rather than how well you play. Play every day at least 3 matches and do your best to complete 2 gens, get 2 SAFE unhooks (run borrowed time), and get in 1 decent chase. If you can't run the killer, try for totem points instead. You will NOT rank up by surviving, you'll rank up by completing objectives. Many, many times I've survived and depipped because I didn't do enough, and on the other hand many times I've died but ranked up because I did a lot during the match. Take protection hits, break hooks, go back for saves after the end game collapse has started, heal when possible, get boldness by performing actions in the killer's terror radius. And, pro tip, play with friends. If you have a decent SWF they'll carry you.
