@PT, WHAT DOES BB STAND FOR? BACKSTABBING BASTARD?

@W, I didn't like 2 as much. Felt it was too disjointed compared the first one, whose separate pieces fit together better. I felt it was a bit too serious, and the new theme song was proof of that. Dick Justice and the TV show with Sam Lake in it were great. Still disagree with Max's new appearance, and always will!

@W, I'll be honest, I didn't give original Death Rally enough of a chance (had far too many other good games to enjoy back then, too!) and only touched the new one during a Free Weekend. I did like that there was a Death Rally reference in Max Payne 2.
I love the theme from one. The atmosphere, the style, the technical accomplishments, the gameplay that still doesn't get rivalled enough...

I really like the theme song to the first Max Payne though and it had nice atmosphere too. Great use of the time period's limited computer resources. Nice sound and dialogue too.

"The truth was like a green crack through my brain. Weapon statistics floating in the air, glimpsed out of the corner of my eye. the repetitious act of shooting, time slowing down to show off my moves. The paranoid feeling of someone controlling my every step. I was in a computer game. Funny as Hell, it was the most horrible thing I could think of." :GATimplogo:

I didn't like Max Payne 2 very much though. I don't think it's aged well, it was too short and took itself too seriously while being too poorly constructed/conceived among other things. I thought the plot was stupid too. Liked the redone theme song though.

I liked the first Death Rally though mostly because I liked its music a whole lot. I played the remake of Death Rally a little tiny bit but I didn't really get into it, mostly because I didn't like the music very much. :polybridgecar:

@R, love everything about it and it holds up. This kind of whole-hog creativity and care just doesn't exist anymore in today's market of pre-order-focused DLC storefronts with cash-shop casinos and paid-for patches. Remedy really cared and gave it their all -- even after 2 decades, it shows!

@M, I borrowed it from a friend of mine, and even the inclusion of playable Duke Nukem didn't do it for me. My older brother felt we should just play GTA1 instead, so we did. I didn't play much of the remake, either, but I hope it's good.

I remember having a 2 Mb GPU and that sucker demanded 4! Stuttered like crazy. I got it 4 and what do you know, it wasn't worth it.
