whatis
The goal here is to complete the game with single pure character and very little fighting. If your character has both "Hero" tag and passed The Path of Blood, you'll also be able to skip the final fight and get special ending, it's not very exciting, it just exists.

What "pure character" means:
  • No deathblows.
  • No stealing, which also means avoiding any interaction with "red" items.
  • Don't side with the Void, so don't accept the offer from voidwoken in The Academy on Nameless Isle.
  • Respect the Source(Soul) of others, which means don't cast Source Vampirism or Purge. Plenty of exceptions, but the main one is casting Purge on Shriekers.
People usually bypass the first rule by using summons (because their deathblows don't count as yours) and doing non-lethal damage themself, but the only offensive ability you'll see below is Teleportation, which is the main reason why i wanted to put this all into writing.
The Source Titan fight is an exception.

Mechanics to be aware of:
  • Friendship. Raising attitude to 50 with an NPC by bribing will make them your friend. Moving close to them during combat and while visible will make them and their nearby friends join the fight on your side. Friends appear green on the minimap. Some NPCs are friends by default, and will remain friendly even with negative attitude, e.g. Seekers.
  • If you teleport a unit far enough, they won't begin a fight or even lose attitude. You can stand near them when you cast Teleportation, it's the distance between you and the destination point that matters. Attitude with neutral NPCs won't go below -45 (unless you have Stench talent that lowers it by additional 25).
  • Every level up vendors' items and gold are restocked, and some of the items disappear.
  • Using invisibility (e.g. Chameleon Cloak) and then sneaking disables enemies' memory of your last location, so they won't walk to you to reveal you even after invisibility wears off. They'll still cast Rain, Global Cooling etc.
All initiative values were tested on PC v.3.6.117.3735.
Enjoy.
Shortened version
Tutorial
  • Get at least one deathfog barrel, to kill Neil in Act 3.
  • At least join the fight of Voidwoken vs. named characters to get a point towards "Hero" tag.

Act 1
  • Help Elodi to gain "Hero" point. Consume Severed Head she gives you to get First Aid and heal Seekers later.
  • Give Migo a Yarrow Flower and return his ring to magister Yarrow to get "Hero" tag.
  • Escape.
  • Reach Seekers' hideout, get to level 4, heal the injured people.
  • Obtain either Purging Wand from Trompdoy's Cave (recommended) or Braccus' Helmet from the Armory (nah) to deal with the Shriekers later.
  • Learn Teleportation, make friends with Zaleskar and teleport him to Ruined Castle. Teleport first 4 magisters outside of the castle to avoid fighting them. Save Gareth.
  • Defeat Alexandar with the help of all of the Seekers and Zaleskar.

Ship Battle
  • Teleport Malady far from the enemies and hide.

Act 2
  • Take the quest from The Advocate and clear The Tree area from Black Ring using The Advocate's forces. He gives you information about Nameless Isle, and that's all you need to move forward.

Act 3
  • Persuade Alexandar so that he doesn't kill you, as he has the first turn.
  • Learn Source Vampirism and Spirit Vision from 2 tablets in The Academy's library.

Embodiment and Neil
  • Have less than 3 points in each school so that Embodiment doesn't gain anything but Bless and Source Vampirism. Your turn will always be first outside of the first round.
  • Spawn Deathfog using fire on the ground, that way you won't get credit for its damage.
  • Unequip everything for the fight. Transition happens at 55% hp, so before that make sure Embodiment stands in the cloud.
  • Neil spawns with deathfog debuff on him that will kill him on his turn.

Act 4
  • Skip Bloodfury fight.
  • Pick specific options in the conversation with the statue.
  • Use invisibility in The Death Room to avoid combat entirely.
  • Get 6 persuasion or 5 persuasion, 35 strength and 39 memory.
  • In the conversation with Lucian, Dallis and Braccus choose anything you like until they offer you to sacrifice yourself. Agree, otherwise you'll have to fight them all. Then continue going through the dialog until you get to persuasion options. Pick only lines for Strength, Memory and Hero.
Character creation
  • Undead (Play Dead, immunity to deathfog);
  • Elf (to get couple of skills for free);
  • Talent: "Lone Wolf"; optional "Far Out Man" for convenience later, and "All Skilled Up" in Act 3 to have 5 Persuasion for Alexandar;
  • All attributes at 10, put 1 point in wits and few points in Strength later to be able to carry more;
  • Tag: nothing necessary. Take "Scholar", if you want a free Source Orb on Bloodmoon Island;
  • Abilities and skills:
    • Pyrokinetic (Haste and Peace of Mind);
    • Polymorph (Chameleon Cloak);
    • Telekinesis (for deathfog barrels).
The beginning, deathfog barrels, "Hero" tag
Go to Windego, then upstairs, find the Skull-Marked Key on one of the magisters (near Fane). Buff yourself with Haste, then unlock the door, double click to trigger running and pick up all 3 barrels.
If the barrel that you tried to take spawned deathfog - it got destroyed in the air, It appears in your inventory, but has 0 hp and isn't usable anymore. The tentacles only do 10 physical damage, but it may kill you.
You'll only need 1, for the boss fight in Act 3 (Nameless Isle), but i recommend you keep all 3 in case you'll want to experiment. Put barrels in a backpack, drag it all the way back to Magister Siwan and leave it next to her, it's the quickest way to exit the Tutorial later.
Pick up the Chunk of Flesh (with Adrenaline).

Hero
    Tutorial Ship part
    Go on the upper deck, let Kraken break the box blocking the ladder, go downstairs. Enter the big room where all the named characters are, you have to enter the fight for it to count as helping them, just triggering enemies to spawn won't work. Feel free to flee combat by going upstairs, friendly characters will deal with them.Don't forget the barrels, talk to Siwan and help her (spam 1st option) in order to exit quickly.
    Fort Joy part
    Before entering the Fort, get shovel and bedroll on the bridge {x:205, y:249} and a Yarrow Flower. Get rid of Sir Lora, he often disturbs the fights.
  • Find the group of 4 people In front of the Lucian's statue, one of them is Elodi. Talk to them, choose option to "stand beside the elf..." (spam 1st option), there'll be no fight and there's no stat requirement for that option to succeed. Then talk to her in the cave, she'll give you Severed Head (with First Aid).
  • Go south-east and find Migo, give him the Yarrow Flower (4th option in the dialog), he'll give you his ring in return. Then find magister Yarrow on the wall west from the entrance arch and give her the ring.
That's it, the message that you became a "Hero" should appear.
Level 4, gold, skills, Purging Wand
Before escaping
  • Visit Elodi in the cave, she'll give you Severed Head (with First Aid);
  • Enter the cave through the hatch near Migo {x:263; y:96}, dig out the indestructible chest near waterfall and take it with you, it only weights 10 units;
  • Teleport to the Square, interact with the statue and choose 1st of 4 options to uncover the hatch (12 wits required). Inside pull the lever to open the door, and then either steal the key or level up thievery and unlock the door to the main floor. Escape in any way you like.

After
Discover the Bridge waypoint and leave everything heavy near it.
You're at level 3, 16 initiative (14 for Ruined Castle, 16 for Alexandar), 14 memory and 16 strength is enough to beat the rest of this act. Put 1 point in Huntsman for First Aid now, 1 in Scoundrel and 1 in Aero later. Go to the Abandoned Camp waypoint first, then to Amadia's Sanctuary. Advised route:
  • Loot Magister's Severed Head (with Spread Your Wings) from the corpse at {x:381, y:225}.
  • Avoid coming close to the magisters in Ruined Castle. Go to the burning pigs, take 1 ooze and 1 oil barrel. Then pick up fire arrowheads in front of the entrance to Ruined Castle, combine them with oil barrel to make explosive arrows, they're expensive, and leave it there.
  • Loot everything around blinded magister Loke. If by accident you started a conversation with him, choose to attack and kite him to Ymmit, he's friendly by default.
  • At the camp dig out the chest {x:570, y:245}. It requires 2 thievery to unlock, but you can just sell it, it's very valuable.
  • Go down the hill, past Slane to Radeka's Cave {x:585, y:105}, enter it for 2100 xp.
  • Climb the vines south-west of Slane, at {x:542, y:139} and go to Amadia's Sanctuary. Pick up the Chanterelle along the way {x: 476, y:129}.
  • You'll receive 1500 xp upon arrival. First check Exter's stock, buy 10 shafts and arrowheads, combine them with ooze barrel to make poison arrows, and leave the barrel there for later. Gift 2 explosive, 10 poison arrows and 32 gold to Exter to reach 100 attitude (or 300g worth of items). It'll make trading with him more beneficial, sell things you don't need to him now.
  • Discover the waypoint. Heal the 3 injured Seekers once, for 3x1500 xp. You're level 4 now, buy Cloak and Dagger from Exter for now, and Tactical Retreat from Bahara.

Purging Wand from Trompdoy's Cave
  • Dig out the 3 unique items located right from the green salamander. Then dig out the chest under broken ship {x: 493, y:76}.
  • Enter the cave, make your way to the riddle statue, loot everything in the room, answer the riddles (1st is 1, 2nd is 2), and sneak to the treasure room if you want to avoid triggering the fight. Loot everything inside the treasure room as well, take Gratiana's Souljar, agree to help Trompdoy (spam 1st option). Go back to the bridge and loot Trompdoy's body.
  • Interact with the headless statue to learn Bless inside Hall of Echoes.
  • Back to the Sanctuary, talk to Gratiana, give her her jar and buy Teleportation skillbook. Equip one of the rings that gives intelligence to be able to wield Purging Wand without buffing yourself.

Sell stuff to Exter. You have everything you need as well as lots of extra gold, do what you like with it. Buying equipment isn't worth it, unless you're willing to actively participate in fights. Feel free to buy Restoration ring from Gratiana, may be helpful.
Ruined Castle fight
Bringing Zaleskar to the castle
Get 50 attitude with him (175 gold). The following path allows you to not lose attitude with him.
  1. Teleport him between broken part of the bridge and the tree, right in front of the wooden construction sticking out of the ground. His pathfinding won't be able to find the way back and he'll remain still;
  2. Blink on the 2nd broken section of the bridge, stand on the north-west corner and teleport him to the top of the vines, preferably further away from you;
  3. Stand on top of the south-west wall. There's a puddle of water north of the vines, teleport Zaleskar on its north edge (or any spot that lets you target him from the next position);
  4. Aim at Zaleskar as shown on the screenshot and teleport him inside, in front of the door. In some positions it's too close and he attacks you, so make sure you save before trying.
Then teleport the 4 magisters outside. Best position for doing this is near top of the ladder at the other side of this wall.
You don't need to kill them. During the fight friendly units might want to attack those 4, despite them being out of combat, so keep Teleportation ready to prevent them from doing so.

If you did everything correctly, they'll remain neutral and Zaleskar - friendly.

The fight
Use Purging Wand on the shrieker, it'll bring Tarlene to the castle. She will work as a bait, making 1 or 2 magisters go outside of Gareth's room when the fight begins. You can be a bait yourself, but that requires practice.

13 initiative minimum for this fight. Stand near Tarlene and teleport her on the stairs between 2 iced areas, blink to her yourself, open trade window and wait for your cooldowns to come back up. Then jump with Tactical Retreat to the top of the ladder, triggering the fight. Teleport the closer archer (because she has knockdown arrow) to the bottom of the stairs, in the ice, then buff Zaleskar with everything, go invisible and hide behind one of the walls. In rare cases you'll have to go out of cover to heal Gareth, otherwise just skip turns.

After the fight is over simply escort Gareth outside.
Alexandar
Don't talk to Gareth at the hideout yet. Talk to Leya to remove source collar.
Getting rid of the Drillworm
Go to the Abandoned Camp. Purging Wand is the same as Source Vampirism, it gives you source points, utilize it to save your time. Bless both of the cursed blood pools in front of the arch, and purge the right Shrieker, keep the other one for now.

Make sure you have 16 initiative. The Drillworm will spawn on 3rd round after Alexandar's turn, and you'll simply let magisters kill it. Begin the fight, go invisible and run to one of the corners, e.g. east towards the statue area. Don't end your turn near Alexandar, otherwise he'll reveal you with Blinding Radiance.
On 2nd round make sure you are in position.
On 3rd round delay your turn, the invisibility with 0 turns left on it won't go off because of that. And when it's your turn flee the fight and go do something else, magisters will easily deal with the worm.

Bringing Zaleskar to the camp
Moving Zaleskar is a pretty straightforward task. You just teleport him, run away from combat, repeat. Don't come close to Ymmit when in combat, use the peak above.

If Tarlene died in the previous fight, be wary of the remaining 4 magisters leaving the castle through the main entrance, simply wait for them.

Position Zaleskar in the middle of the camp, between 3 tents - you don't want him to fight Alexandar himself, because the first thing his AI will do is teleport enemy as far as possible, which wastes a lot of your time.
Once he's in position, give him 333 gold to bring attitude back to 50.

Preparing the arena
Bring:
  • 2 metal crates (those that have ~6k hp), you can find them near Source Fountain in the Ruined Castle;
  • 2 wooden crates with 30 hp;
  • 2 indestructible chests: 1 is at the waterfall near Fane {x:294, y:277}, the other one inside the prison cave {x:187, y:563}.
The Drillworm is 100% dead by now.
Block the Arch with metal crates, path to the statue area with golden chests, and vines that lead to the square area with 1 crate each. Then enter the Alexandar's fight again and block the eastern ladder with a barrel.

This is done to separate Alexandar from his troops and prevent anyone going near the remaining shriekers. You can also use Braccus' Helmet or ask Gratiana to recharge the wand, to me it feels unnecessary.

Few more things
  • Talk to Gareth at the hideout (spam 1st option) to make Seekers go to the camp.
  • At the camp find magister Ames, spying on the Seekers. Don't talk, just jump next to him and teleport him far east. Don't lower the vines leading to his position, he might come back.
  • Heal Jules, Klaud, Simone and Matis to full.
  • Give Duggan all the arrows that you have, except for knockdown ones.
  • Purge the shrieker located south-west of the statue, it tends to zap through the wall.
That's it. Purge the 2nd shrieker in front of the entrance which will bring Seekers on the stairs. Tell Gareth that you need more time to prepare, otherwise they'll run off. Now moving inside the Alexandar's area will advance the quest and make Seekers go for the boat, unless they are in combat, keep it in mind. The furthest you can go is ~3 meters past the arch.

The fight
Begin by teleporting Gheist towards Seekers, closer to Klaud, this won't put other magisters in combat. Buff Matis with Haste to guarantee that he'll decide to do a knockdown.

Now it's time for Alexandar. Teleport him in front of Gareth, Klaud and Matis, without damaging them. Buff Matis with everything, especially Haste, this will make Alexandar flanked most of the time and increase the amount of opportunity attacks he receives. Hide in the corner between the wall and the rocks (left from the entrance), on Seekers' side. If you feel unsafe use invisibility.

Alexandar will most likely swap himself with Duggan and begin going upstairs. Knight and Assassin will be stuck hitting metal crates, and Metamorph with Markswoman will be somewhere near their original positions. When Alexandar is near death, open the arch and jump upstairs to bring Zaleskar and Ymmit to the fight.
Use delaying turn and teleportation to speed the fight up.

Once all the magisters are dead, Malady will appear.
Before leaving act 1
Talk to Malady, choose any options you like, and when a message about point of no return appears, tell her to wait. Take the deathfog barrel, 2 golden chests and 2 metal crates with you.

Teleportation Scrolls can be useful later on.
There's a guaranteed one in Braccus' office and one in one of the prison cells.
If you want to craft Teleportation scrolls, there're 2 feathers on the bridge near Zaleskar's initial spot.
Quick ship walkthrough
Go left (west), there's a human magister's corpse, read the book on him to learn the door password.
Block the stairs around the middle mast using metal crates and chests. If you forgot them and already saved, don't worry, there're enough chests and paintings on lower levels.

When Ranley interrupts your interaction with Alexandar, use strength persuasion option (it doesn't require any stats to succeed), take the gem.
With door interaction choose to hold the gem towards the door, then tell the password "Fortitude".
With Tarquin choose 1st options until the option "take your leave" is available.

Take the red pyramid, use it now or later, you'll have the first turn against the Gheists, unless you're very low on wits. Take the blue pyramid and the Shackles of Pain book from the big closet.
Pick up and read the book with the lizard song from Dallis' desk.
Talk to the ship's head and then go to Malady. Make sure your abilities are ready, game won't refresh them.

The fight
Move 1 AP towards the steering wheel, jump next to it, teleport Malady far away from the enemies, jump down and go downstairs.

That's it, enemies won't be able to get to Malady. Loot valuables in Dallis' room. You can find pillows in some of the chests.
Be warned, it is possible that you'll kill a rat near ballistae with the bomb explosion debuff, which will fail purity. I've tested it for you, you're welcome. :)
Act 2
The only thing that you need is to learn the location of the Nameless Isle, which you get from The Advocate. Follow the road north. There're 2 chanterelles: one is at the bridge at {x:474, y:26}, the other one is near Witch's house and Scarecrows {x:405, y:214}.

To cross the river, you can still jump on the invisible platforms without Spirit Vision, just keep in mind that if you get hit by a trap and can't extinguish yourself - you're likely dead. Levitating with Spread Wings won't protect you from stepping on the buttons, so just stick to the side. This is how the bridge looks like:

The most important part in conversation with The Advocate is to hear what he wants from you. If you deal with the Black Ring people, but didn't have the quest, Advocate won't yield the information you need.

It's safe to accept the source point from him, i personally don't like the fact that it doesn't fail purity. If you want 2 source points, i suggest you dig out Forced Exchange skillbook at {x:295, y:454} later as well, to use it for Source Titan fight.
Bloodmoon Island
Bring your initiative to 27. Doing the fight the normal way may result in Advocate losing physical armor, receiving Shackles of Pain and quickly dying, it's safer to do it in two steps.

1
Advocate has Mass Corpse Explosion, so you have an option to oneshot the Black RIng Destroyer with it, whose body is lying west from The Tree and will come back alive only when you begin the fight there, you can teleport him without consequences.

Talk to Malady, so that she moves, and put Destroyer's corpse where she stood, together with 8 other corpses (7 are nearby, 1 near the Tree), it's enough to oneshot him. Basatan will die too, leaving some gold, empty skillbooks and Voidwoken Fish Exchange scroll.

Get 50 attitude with Chtylchia (1000 gold, or 20 per point), leave the pyramid between her and the pile of corpses.
Now bring Black Ring Fearmaiden there as well. Enter the Tree area from south in sneak mode, stand of top of the first set of stairs and teleport her west of the middle statue, far enough to not begin combat. The conversation will begin, just tell them you're with Advocate. Next stand near the middle statue and teleport her towards the corpse pile, you should have enough range. Try to do this when Arp-Kha isn't there, he's strong and doesn't have any useful loot, but no big deal if you accidentally kill him. Blink/pyramid teleport between them and Chtylchia - game will treat this as everyone joining combat at the same time, Advocate gets the first turn and will easily kill both.

2
Sneak to the original Fearmaiden's position (anywhere near it works) and teleport one of the Painweavers (or both) east of the statue. Use 2 abilities to jump over the statue, spend 1 AP on moving towards the archer, so that Advocate's party joins, buff Chtylchia with Haste and intelligence, Adrenaline, go invisible and run west of the pyramid. The Advocate's team won't need your help.
Before leaving act 2
  • Talk to The Advocate and make sure he gave you the location;
  • Buy whatever you need for Source Titan fight, it's cheaper than in the next act.

Talk to Malady at the ship.
Nameless Isle
There's a thunderbolt grenade south from The Beach waypoint, it can be used to open the front door.
On your way to the gates stay away from the human temple, you may be forced into a fight.
Rotate human, orc and lizard signs, throw the grenade at the square plate and pull the lever. If signs are wrong you'll get blasted by a lightning storm.

Don't accept the Voidwoken's offer. In the library interact with the 2 massive tablets, it'll teach you Spirit Vision and Source Vampirism, without which the construct won't let you enter the arena.
Get 5 persuasion (with All Skilled Up talent) and at least 25 wits, talk to Alexandar until you get to the persuasion check and pick the wits option. You want him to be on your side because he always has the first turn in the upcoming fight and will stun or even kill you unless you have enough magic armor.

Prepare for the Source Titan fight, buy anything you need at Tir-Cendelius' temple. I prefer using Shackles of Pain + Living on The Edge + Giant Healing Potion combo to damage The Embodiment. Bring the deathfog barrel.

On honor difficulty completing the sprint is a point of no return, because the game treats Alexandar as your unit, so it autosaves you when Dallis kills him.
Barrelmancy vs. Neil
Some fun facts that help with the fight:
  • Embodiment always goes first on the first round;
  • Embodiment copies your equipped items;
  • If you have 3 or more points in a school (aero etc.), the Embodiment will copy those points as well as gain some skill of the respective schools the moment it spawns, but if you have 1 or 2 - it won't, and the only skills it'll have are Bless and Source Vampirism;
  • The Titan spawns when Embodiment is below 55% hp;
  • Even though Embodiment is immune to deathfog, it's still programmed to avoid dangerous surfaces, so it may walk out of the cloud;
  • Source Titan isn't immune to deathfog.

Again, make sure you have less than 3 points in each school with all the items unequipped.
No need to prebuff anything, talk to the construct, win the sprint in 2 long jumps and proceed. If game bugs and still puts Sebille before you, simply nether swap her with Beast as Alexandar.

Go to the center of the arena, where all corpses are, but avoid triggering the fight for now.
You need the deathfog barrel to be broken by fire on the ground, that way the cloud isn't your and therefore you don't get credit for the kill.

Alternatively, you can copy what i'm doing on the screenshot, maybe jump even closer to guarantee consistency. Fire will break that barrel in first round creating cloud with the enemy already in it.
After the first round it'll be next to you, because it only buffs and melees.

Unequip everything and trigger the fight, spend first round on buffing. On the 2nd round make sure Embodiment is in the cloud before it transforms.
Neil will be alive when he spawns, and you should see a deathfog debuff on him with 1 turn left. Just end turn and he'll die.

It's safe to spam 1st options in conversations with Malady and Ship's head.
Entering Arx
Once you've landed, talk to Malady if the conversation didn't start automatically, otherwise you won't have access to the Ship and the mirror.

Play dead
Stand next to the door, play dead and order your character to walk inside the city or talk to someone. The conversation won't trigger and instead the doors will be opened.
Same trick works for The Doctor's house.

Opening door while in combat
The door isn't locked, but clicking on it starts a conversation. To avoid that you can simply deliver an enemy to the doors to maintain combat. Bring 1 Teleportation scroll or Skin Graft. Sneak to the wooden construction in the left building, enemies shouldn't touch you when you are there.

Technically you'll be joining an ongoing fight, so you want to choose a vampire that just had its turn. There're 6 paladins and 3 enemies, so observe the turn order and pick the right moment.
Teleport it to the bridge and wait for your turn. Jump there, teleport it to the side of the bridge, to avoid opportunity attack, and, just like with Play Dead, order your character to walk inside.
Also you need 31 initiative to beat Bloodfury's, if that matters to you.

Cross the river with pyramids
Simply toss a pyramid in the middle of the river, click on the ground and character will walk to the surface.
Lucian's Tomb
The Statue
Choose these specific options otherwise the statue kills you even if you're pure. Before killing you it'll tell you that you failed, so you have a chance to reload a save. Having Resist Death buff doesn't protect you from dying here.
  • (3) "You would never steal from another";
  • (1) "You do not kill the innocent" (or pick the option for "Mystic" tag if you have it);
  • (2) "You would never do such thing" (serve the void that is);
  • (3) "You have always respected the Source of others".

Pipes
Either solve the puzzle the normal way or... throw pyramid across the barrier and exploit the fact that game simply checks if surfaces in the circles match. Even 2 empty surfaces will create a match.

The Death Room
You may enter safely and stand still, the muppets only spawn if you move right or left, and combat won't start unless they see you. Use haste, go invisible, run to the blue barrier and throw a pyramid across. Barrier breaks line of sight, so even if a muppet comes near it, combat won't start.

Muppets die with time, but the 2nd set will spawn if you have to return to that room.

Alternatively you can pull the necessary levers while invisible, just use 1 or 2 chanterelles.

The final part
Teleport to the Hall of Echoes and swap to 5 persuasion, 35 strength and 39 memory or simply 6 persuasion, if you have a necklace that provides it.
Save the game before going downstairs in case you want to come back.

In the conversation with Lucian feel free to choose whatever you want until they ask you to sacrifice yourself. Agree, and then persuade Braccus using Strength, Memory and "Hero" options.
(extra) Saving the run in Arx
So if the purity test is failed and you still want to complete the game, this part is for you. You'll fight Braccus alongside Lucian, and to make it consistent and easy you want to move before Lucian who has 69 initiative.

You'll need:
  • Enrage;
  • Teleportation;
  • Bless;
  • Skin Graft;
  • 70 initiative;
  • 10 Scoundrel for movement;
  • (optional, but recommended) Far Out Man talent;
  • Potion of Strong Will (any fire essence + potion bottle) to cancel silence. Sallow Man has Silencing Stare that i think may reach you, though this never happened to me.

Releasing deathfog
This isn't necessary, but it will make obtaining stuff easier.
Swap to 5 thievery, 40 wits, prepare for the pipes puzzle, buy all the skills you're missing and then go to the sewers.
Avoid Karon's area, go down the ladder, don't loot anything to avoid spawning spiders.
Then go to {x:428; y:610} and jump behind the door to skip all the traps, find the "Suspicious Hole In Wall" and lockpick it.

Go downstairs, the guard won't do anything to you, but don't come near other dwarfs, it'll trigger the conversation that leads to, i think, inevitable death.
Take few steps back and teleport the royal guard next to you, hit him one more time to start a fight, this way others are too far away to engage. Then jump towards the left door (or east), pick lock on it and go invisible, leave the combat the next turn, go to the valve. When the deathfog is released, Kemm disappears and you'll only meet him if you free Arhu from the spirits.

Fun fact: there's also a "Villain" ending, similar to "Hero", but turns out that just drowning a city in deathfog isn't enough to become a villain in Larian's eyes. Questionable ethics, really.

Amulet and Scroll from Sanders
Simply open the shop's front door, teleport Sanders' body outside, equip the Source Amulet, read the letter to learn the password option "Giyora".

Then go behind the house, there're vines that lead to the 2nd floor. Use invisibility, climb and go to the desk, behind a candleholder (for some reason the area near the wall is a blind zone, the muppets won't see you there).
If the option to insert the amulet into the socket doesn't appear, just save and load, there's no requirement other than charged source amulet.

Initiative items
Even if you only have 40 initiative from wits, you can reach 70 by looting some of these unique™ items:

chest in Arhu's chambers

Additionally before the final conversation you can prebuff Peace of Mind to get 7(at level 12/13) or 8(at level 14) wits, as well as Apotheosis (in Doctor's basement) that will give you 5.

Doctor's basement can be accessed either by using Play Dead bug for his front door and then lockpicking 2 doors leading downstairs or by putting pyramid in the barrel on the shore near graveyard and using Voidwoken Fish Exchange scroll that you could pick up in act 2 from Basatan. Don't let the Doctor see you, use invisibility for lockpicking method, his servants won't attack you. And downstairs you'll have to use rain or a water balloon on the case containing the item.

Alchemist's house basement entrance is at {x:433; y:334}, hidden button near the fireplace. Inside simply jump through the gates and find a wooden chest.

Kemm's vault access: simply steal the painting from the kids out of invisibility (40 initiative is enough), pyramid-teleport out of the fight or lockpick the entrance. The lever to drain water is between a flowerbed and Kemm's Mansion waypoint, the entrance can be lockpicked.

The fight
In conversation with Lucian agree to sacrifice yourself, and choose whatever you like afterwards, everything will lead to combat. Because of turn order you'll be safe throughout the fight.
If you used wits buffs, make sure you see 3 turns left on them during the conversation, otherwise you may blunder losing your turn and die.
  1. Jump on stairs east of the "throne" and teleport Braccus next to Lucian. Then come near Lucian, buff him with Bless and Enrage. This way Lucian will have no choice other than smack Braccus in the face 3 times.
  2. Skin Graft, Enrage Lucian again, he hits Braccus 2 more times, game over.
Few links and last words
Thanks to Zuxxkij for the cheesy Puritan's Walk icon.
Thanks to minniefinnie for mentioning that you can just hire a merc.
Thanks to someone whose comment i deleted for suggesting it's best to play normally while letting 1 of your characters remain pure.
2.5h long recording of this run, with timestamps for convenience. Also Lucian kills Braccus in the end.
2 bonus clips of lost runs.
Playlist with Grey_NunSei's level 19 Purity playthrough, if you're into that kind of stuff.
The final conversation with "Hero" and "Villain" tags (same video, different timestamps).

Nah, no changes, all the skips still work. I just wanted to see if fighting it with the civilians is possible, killed it and assumed the boss bat is enough to progress, because i remembered it wrong, probably.

The skip for the Bloodfury fight you posted worked for me! Did they change it so you have to now?

Actually, no, you have to kill everyone in Bloodfury fight. So good luck with not skipping it!

This worked like a charm for me. Thank you! (I was able to do it as a regular ole human with some positioning around the deathfog, and making use of being able to walk through doors by putting a barrel/crate on my character model)

Thanks, glad you appreciate this "guide". :D
Wanted to comment on the option with killing Bloodfury instead of using a skip, tried it recently and it's easy, but goofy - its AI is disabled when you're outside of the outpost area, the trigger ends somewhere on the small bridge, and Bloodfury just becomes a civilian that refuses to join combat.
So you'll want to teleport it, leave combat, teleport some civilians in that direction, enter the trigger area so that they all see you and let them fight. Only the boss bat needs to die for the quest to be done.
