Intro
Hello, welcome to my guide!

After you read this guide, you will know how to get rich and win
Getting Rich by Conquering
So, you start off, you have a decent ship, 7000+ money, and pretty much nothing else.

First, you want to go to the first town you see, and recruit as many troops as you can (preferrably hitting your party cap).

Next, you want to get aggressive with at least one faction. I suggest attacking the brotherhood of the coast because they suck

Then, Attack a fort from the faction you just angered, and take it (take a fort without a lord garrisoned in it, because without one, the garrison is between 10 and 50).

Once you take it, you won't actually capture it, but the governer of the town will pay you 8000 for you to leave them alone

Because most of the towns in this game only have a garrison of 20-50, this is a pretty easy method of getting rich.

Acquire Currency from Enterprises
Alright, so as long as you have enough money to buy.

First, go to a town and click on the Town Hall

Then, click on the Resource Production Tab (blue button on the right). Resource Productions generate raw materials that you can sell immediatly.

Each Resource Production Enterprise will generate about 3 units per day, and if you buy the right enterprise, each unit could sell up to 150 or more!

You do have to pay a tax, but the profit is more than the tax normally.

And that is how you get money by waiting in a tavern!
Win!
Boom! Money! Get rekt Carribean!

Now you know how to acquire resources, and that is pretty much the extent of it as well. You might start off humbly, but you should be able to keep expanding until you have 1000 troops in your army, 6 galleons in your fleet and win the game!

I took the island of Tortuga from the brotherhood of the coast (I belong to the Spanish faction) but still cannot get the resource button to work. I am governer of Tortuga now. and there is one free slot under resources but left-clicking does no good. I have enough money to build. What am I doing wrong?

weird, the game might be to early in development to have that feature, idk.

@321Leviathan I have taken pretty much half of the Caribbean with this other lord already and every time I annexed the town it just gave it to me, not allowing me to choose who to give it to. I don't know if my game is glitched, or if that feature is not in the game yet.

@vito, only way to give lords fiefs is when you take land, and then when someone asks who to give the land to, just put it as that lord, so they get the fief instead of you
