when i use facial animations i see default face overlay, like really small tint, but still visible, is it a way to check the mod textures or watch them in photoshop? idk just how to do it lol

Excellent! This'll certainly now become another default for my current and future modlists

Imagine if permanent scars on pawns left visible marks like these... I bet they might eventually add something like that, especially now that scarification is a proper feature.
