You start the game as Napoleon but you aren't Emperor.

You're just young officer in the French army and work under the Directorate, the council that governs France. So you will have limited choice of where you attack and little control over diplomatic negotiations.

If you want to become Emperor with full power in your hand, you must win six territories.

The Directorate give 2 options to you; take command the Army of the West or the Army of Italy. You can choose only one option and you can't play another option that you don't pick.





Note : If you see Battle Icons as The Cross Swords, it means you will play historical battle.

If you choose to take command the Army of the West in Paris to attack Royalists at Burgundy, I'll dub this option is Route A. Please go to Chapter 1.

If you choose to take command the Army of Italy in Marseilles to attack Sardinians at Piedmont, I'll dub this option is Route B. Please go to Chapter 4.

Royalists never support French Revolution is a casus belli for you to preemptive attack Royalists.









At start of the game, you have 2 fortresses, one of them is locate between Troyes and Dijon, another one is locate between Dijon and Lyons

You should send cavalry units to station in those fortresses and send them to destroy only Royalists cannon unit, you should assign your citizens to always repair those fortresses too.

I recommend you to build fortress at southeast of Lyons and 2 stockades near Troyes at start of the game.

After you eliminate Royalists, you have good news and bad news.

Good news : You protect French Revolution from internal enemy.

Bad news : The Army of Italy in Marseilles has been defeated, so you are only army that the Directorate had command.

The Directorate want you to drive British out of Brittany, so you are now at war with the British.















I recommend you to bring your army capture Vannes , Quimper and Brest swiftly.

After you capture Brittany, the Directorate want you to drive Austrians from Belgium.





You also receive Advisor Talleyrand Strategic Card but you don't have authority to use it.









After you fight your enemy in this battle 40 seconds, Austrians will send their emissary to talk with you.

Choose " Listen to him ".

Note : If you choose " Send him away ", Austrians still fight with you in this battle.



Austrians emissary offer you that if you pay them 20 Tribute, they will leave this province.

Choose " Pay 20 " for easier job.

Note : If you choose " Refuse offer ", Austrians still fight with you in this battle.



Austrians emissary make another offer to you that if you pay them 20 Tribute, they will help you subdue the people of this province.

Choose " Decline offer " because Austrians is biggest threat in this battle. So if they don't involve in this war, you can beat Belgians easily.

Note : If you choose " Pay 20 ", Austrians will make ally with you and help you beat Belgians in this battle.







After this negotiation, Austrian is withdrawn from this battle and you have only Belgians to beat.

I recommend you to capture all Belgians city asap.

After you capture Belgium, the Directorate give 2 options to you; take charge the Army of the South or the Army of the Far East. You can choose only one option and you can't play another option that you don't pick.

So you are now at war with the Knights of Malta and Spanish.

But the Army of the West in Paris has been defeated, so you are only army that the Directorate had command.

I recommend you to build 2 man-o'-war ships to block 2 rivers and you should cross river and capture Lodi asap.



After you fight your enemy in this battle 30 minutes, Austrians will offer you a interesting deal.

They don't want to fight anymore and want to sign peace treaty with you. They also give 50 Tribute and their territory of Belgium to you in this deal too.

Peace Treaty + 50 Tribute + Belgium = Big deal that you can't reject easily

But I choose " No " and continue to fight Austrians in this war.

I recommend you to bring your army capture Cerveteri and Rome asap.

Warning : Don't destroy Colosseum at Rome because you'll lost Wonder Colosseum forever.

Because you don't have supply wagon unit to heal your army in this battle, so you should use Napoleon create decoys as much as possible to save your unit in this battle.

Sometimes you should use Napoleon forced march to make your army travel faster because you have only 9 minutes to accomplish your goal.

You should use your spies bribe Spanish units.

After you capture Seville, the Directorate want you to dethrone the Spanish ruler by capture the Spanish capital territory of Castile to make them truly happy.









I recommend you to ( assign citizens ) build 2 stockades at the north of your city.

You should send your army to attack Madrid asap and try to destroy enemy barracks along the way too.

I recommend you to order all of your ships sail to the north of island, meanwhile you landing your army at the south of island.

You order all of your man-o'-war ships and sloop ships attack Knights of Malta cannon units, meanwhile you order all of your bomb ketch ships attack Valletta at the same time.

Then you march your army from the south of island to attack and capture Valletta simultaneously.

After you eliminate Knights of Malta, the territory of Libya has welcomed your army without a fight.

The Directorate order you onward to capture the treasures of Egypt, so you are now at war with the Ottoman Turks.

Note : This is historic battle in War of the Second Coalition.















I recommend you order all of your man-o'-war ships sail to southeast and combat with Mamelukes naval units, meanwhile you order all of your sloop ships sail to southwest and attack Mamelukes heavy fireship.

After you clear all of Mamelukes naval units, order all of your man-o'-war ships and sloop ships to station at eastern coast of Alexandria and prepare to counterattack another Mamelukes naval units.

After that You can safely send all of your army and all of your bomb ketch ships to attack Alexandria.



After you capture Alexandria, your officer advise you to give control of the city of Alexandria to the Egyptian people.

Choose " I agree ".

Note : If you choose " No way ", you will take control Alexandria immediately but you won't receive help from Egyptian people anymore.



You have freed the Egyptians. You can't build any city in Egypt but you can use Egyptians citizen to build your military buildings.





The Egyptians have agree to pay us taxes as thank for free them from Mamelukes, so they ask you what percent shall you tax Egyptians' commerce.

I choose " 20 % ".

Note : You can choose any tax rate as you want because it hasn't effect to you in this battle.



Send your army to Rosetta, so people of Rosetta are handing you the city without a fight because they appreciate your humane treatment of the Egyptians in Alexandria.

After that I recommend you order all of your man-o'-war ships and sloop ships sail to south of Shubrakhit and destroy all of Mamelukes naval units and reinforcements.

You can safely send all of your army and all of your bomb ketch ships to attack Shubrakhit.

After you capture Shubrakhit, send all of your ships to destroy Mamelukes anchorage at Cairo to eliminate any threat from Mamelukes naval units.

After that it's time to march your army to capture remaining Mamelukes cities and win this battle.

Warning : Don't destroy Pyramids at Giza because you'll lost Wonder Pyramids forever.

After you eliminate Mamelukes and occupy Egypt, the Directorate wish you to gain control of Syria.

Because al-Arish and Gaza don't have any Ottoman Turks army station here, so you should send your army to attack them asap.
