Introduction
Hello, Caribbean! Beginners! This Guide will give you some quick tips and tricks on how to dispatch different Enemy Types - all by yourself.

Let's start off by defining what counts as an "Enemy Type", as there is no per-say definition In-Game. I will make this very easy and just define mainly between the Weapons they are carrying, and the Armor.

I will give a short description of the Enemy Type and then the best method (in my humble opinion) on how to deal with said enemy.

Alright, let's get this show on the road!
Unarmored Enemies
The First unarmored Enemy is:

The Sailor

These Guys come in a variety of flavors, but for the most time they wield Daggers and short spears, which they swing like hammers. They are generally easy to kill, one or two aimed swipes with a sword should finish them in most cases. If they actually attempt to strike you, It is better to dodge their attack by moving back instead of trying to parry. Do not waste too much time on a single sailor. when you get surrounded by enemies while you still fight a single worthless deck-hand, don't complain to me, because I told you not to.

Rarely, Sailors will be equipped with low-grade firearms longuns or Blunderbuss Pistol. Refer to the "Ranged Enemies" Tab of this guide to read how to best dispatch them.

The Marine

Just a stronger version of the Sailor with better armor, This soldier wields Cutlasses and Infantry Swords and is significantly tougher, especially when they come in groups. Whenever it is best, try to stab them, and when there are more than three, retreat to friendly troops if you don't feel particularly lucky or are already wounded. I am not saying it is impossible, though.
If you got a Pistol, now is the time to use it.

The Militia

These soldiers come with all four Superpowers and are equipped with short Pikes and Halberds. They will most likely overhead swing at you, and since their weapons are relatively slow, you can attempt to attack them as you wish. They are dangerous only if you happen to be riding or are wounded. Them ganging up on you is highly unlikely, as they have to abort their attacks often if they stand too close around you.
Armored Enemies
Armored Enemies - Crack 'em and snack 'em.

The Pikeman

Generally wearing thick cuirasses and strong Weapons, these Enemies are defeated by closing in on them. It sounds crazy, but you have to get as close as you can, so they can not inflict damage with their long pikes. Then, just massacre them at will.

The Cuirassier

Terrible menaces on horse, these Soldiers are still a tough match on foot or in boarding actions. Sometimes they wield pistols, so close in on them really fast to force them to abort their shots OR avoid confrontation while the pistol is loaded. Once you are engaged in a swordfight with them, thrusting is the best armor-piercing attack. Having a Rapier would be the Ideal situation, but since we are speaking of pirate gear, just stab them. Over, and over, and over and over again. Stabbing the Cuirassier is completed once the Target lies dead on the ground.

The Jungle Fighters.

Vicious basterds. These Armored Enemies sport Fancy low-grade cuirasses and very fast weapons. Even Two of them are deadly dangerous, as they are packing a punch like hell. Walk backwards while constantly swinging at them with your longest weapon, that should usually land a hit or two. If there is more than one, retreat tactically and gracefully.

(Panic and Run away!!!)
Bonus Section: Ranged Enemies.
Defeating Ranged enemies, be it a Musketeer or a Rag-tag good-for-nothing Pistol Bandit, requires the intelligent use of cover and fast closing in.

The Ranged Soldier in question generally takes a 2-3 Second period before shooting, giving you as the agressor time to think of your actions. If you have a pistol, aim fast, but with enough accuracy to guaranteedly down the target, as failure to do so may result in one's death.

Using cover intelligently and to your advantage can reset the 3 seconds of aiming time, giving you more time to react to the impending doom that rests in the opponen'ts hands.

When you are out of bullets, Strafe in ONE direction while advancing on the target. The bullets in this game are not hitmarkers but actual physical bullets that can miss you if you change position.

Don't zick-zack in fornt of the musketeer, and for heaven's sake Don't crouch! It will make you stationary... and vulnerable.

When you are closing in, pay attention to the gun. If it has a bayonet, the Soldier holding it is as good as dead. As they can only attack "low" they are easy to block and as such easy to kill.

If they switch to their Swords/daggers, Fight them as you would un-armored enemies.
Bonus Section #2: Grenadiers
Grenadiers can be Jungle Fighters and Arillery Cannons. The most important thing is to get them to switch to their melee weapons (As Always).

Since the Grenade is a very inaccurate indirect ranged weapon, these soldiers prove no threat when directly walked upon, so don't slow yourself and charge them. Once they draw their swords, attack them as they still draw the blade. Dead.

Quite nice guide man, but it confuses me to hear the option "fall backto your own men", as this is an "on your won" guide, eh?
But anyways, nice work. keep it up :Honored:
