The best thing about the Mount and Blade Warband engine is: You can use the Mount and Blade knowledge-base for troubleshooting, help and technical resolve. I am going to make this very short and give you the link to a very old document that solved many problems for me, and I hope it will help you too.

Warning: This Solution involves editing the Computer setup. If you are not experienced enough, just lower the graphics settings of the game and see how far you will come. But if you can work with basic text editors and/or have an Idea on how to navigate menus, I trust you pal, you can do it!
