Preface Let's face it - snipers are fun to play. That's no excuse for shoddy marksmanship, however, and this problem, among others, are rampant in the world of sniping in Warface. This guide is here to show you what it takes to be the premiere sniper. Co-Op Your rifle outranges all other firearms on the battlefield. Use this to your advantage. Hang back and pick off your foes from afar. With that being said, if you can't make the shot, don't take it. A sniper's priority targets are: Snipers, Demomen, Spec Ops, Shield Soldiers, and MG gunners. These 5 classes of enemies present the highest threat to your team, and you should consider killing them your number one priority. Get used to where these types of enemies like to spawn as well, so you can identify possible spawn locations and be ready for when they do pop out. A good sniper rifle does not make a good sniper, but a good sniper can make a good sniper rifle. Give an SVK to someone who knows what he's doing and he's always going to win against a random pleb with an R98B. Get the Special Sniper Vest as soon as possible. Trust me, you get two extra mags' worth of ammo for both your rifle and your sidearm - and you won't have to bug your rifleman for ammo all the time either. You only need 1 sniper in a lobby at any given time. 2 snipers will be problematic. 3 will turn the match into a shooting competition. 4? Might as well quit the game now, because you've already lost. Versus If you're not rushing, you're camping. Snipers make terrible rushers, by the way. Range is your friend. Use this to your advantage when playing on larger maps. Reload when there's no action. There's nothing worse than drawing a bead on a guy, firing a single shot, getting a hitmarker, and then being forced to reload. And as stated in the PvE section, if you can't make the shot, don't take it, unless you want to reveal your position on the minimap. One shot kills are highly unlikely, especially with a semi auto rifle. Get used to double tapping your enemies. Even headshots won't guarantee a kill. Get the Advanced Sniper Helmet. The fake foliage helps to break up the outline of your character's head when hiding in a bush. Consider finding a sniper buddy. They can cover your butt and you will be able to do double-climbs to get to that really good sniping perch that nobody knows about.
