I think Gaijin has done a great job with Wings of Prey and War Thunder. Way more polished and accessible at launch then IL2 Cliffs of Dover. IL2 1946 is a classic though. However, I always liked the atmosphere in MircoProse's European Air War with the medal box, pinup in the barracks, and the German guy who yelled at you during the briefings.

@Pixel lol yeah and this was supposed to be "realistic settings" (Historical mode). Time to download IL2 again :)
