The Start
Consider starting with a Swarmer though you might choose a Boxer. The Boxer is better at the very start, but the Swarmer quickly catches up. The key word is quickly as you move a bit into the game, you will discover that as in most sports, speed kills.

Put one Manager Research point into your Scout and send him off to search for sponsorship. This will give you a mild amount of cash every week. After he returns send him out again. Rinse and repeat.

Put your other points into Training Boost. This will trigger a little boost icon when your fighter is training and help them improve just a bit more. Be prepared to click a lot. Eventually Learning Boost will unlock and you can start helping your manager level.

Go to the Training Tab and set your fighter to Intense at the Gym and Relax at Home. This will give him a bit more stamina for training, but he won't be ready for a fight.

Go to your players Skills and put two points in his first skill and one in his second skill down the middle. After this I would eventually put two points in Head Block on the left side and then Uppercut. When the third skill down the middle opens up, invest in that. The goal here is to get the last skill down the middle to open which is his killer attack that triggers once he has enough hits during a fight.

Keep an eye on Manager's Task and complete them for more manager points.

Train your boxer for a few days on the treadmill to up his stamina. After he is too tired to continue, send him home and end the day. Always send him home after he is finished.
The Boxing Ring
Buy a Boxing Ring. Start your boxer training in the boxing ring. This is slow but gives skill points which are vital. You will need to repair the boxing ring sometimes. The Gym Equipment tab lets you see the current condition and you can repair from here or just when the ring breaks.

As your boxer's condition hits 100%, click Competition and Minor Circuit. Choose the current champion and offer your boxer up as a Sparring Partner. If the champ isn't available, try again tomorrow. This will give you a skill point, but take 25% of your condition.

Keep training in the boxing ring and sparring with the champ until your speed is something like 11 and your condition is 100. All the while complete Manager Tasks. Put your training back to Normal for Gym and Overtime for Home. Train for a few more days to get him ready for his first fight.

Go to Career Progress and Fight!
The Fight
Early on always go all in on Attack sliding the slider all the way down. Defense matters little in this game, especially early on. Turn Taunt off for now as it always gets your box hit in the gut early on. Move your Attack up toward Head but not all the way. Mostly we want to club the other fighter into submission, but sometimes hit the body.

Go ahead and start the match and hopefully your guy knocks out the other fellow.

After the fight you will see you moved up a new level and got a skill point or else toward a new level. It seems to take 3 fights to get a level roughly. Getting skill points through training in the boxing ring, sparring and fighting is what we are all about.

Once back to the gym set your training to normal and again train in the boxing ring.
Opportunity Knocks
After a while on Career Progress you will see an opportunity button. After your boxer is say at least 18 speed and 100 percent condition, go ahead and click this button to set up a fight. Don't try to negotiate yet, just accept.

Go to the boxing Manager screen and the actions tab. Click any actions you can to promo the fight.

Keep training until fight night. Do the same thing with attacking though you may want to be less aggressive to the head. This will be a tougher fight. Hopefully with better speed and some skills you can take out the other fellow. Loses really don't hurt too much though.
Rinse and Repeat
It is true that this game can be a bit dull. Now after setting training to normal, we again train in the boxing ring and hit boost when we can. Funnel all the fighter skill points down the center of his skills until you have maxed out his fourth center skill.

Fight when you can and your condition is 100% (well 98% when training overtime for a big fight). Take the opportunity fights to move up the ladder. Get Speech and build up fighters before a fight and heal them after a fight. Train overtime for the big fights.

Become the champ of the lowest level and then advance. All this time keep your one fighter. Don't add fighters until you can afford to lose money on them. Get your first fighter to win the second level championship and then leave him there to make money.

Put manager points into Boxer Recruits until it is maxed and then send your scout out to find a four or five star fighter who is 18 or 19 and cheap. He should cost well under 1000 per fight. I would get another Swarmer but any type will do.

Train as with your first fighter, but if you have the money get a trainer to increase his skills faster. Start with stamina. Good luck.

You first have to upgrade your Gym with 500k to get the boxing ring!
This and some other financial weekpoints are in the guide but for beginners the plan fits.
