How to fix Dead By Daylight High Temps or GPU usage (EN-ES-PTBR)

EN: Hi there, in this guide you will found how to reduce DBD high temps, as a player of this game I know that for some other players the GPU usage can go 99% and that says that your graphic card will have constantly high temps wich isn´t good, so after doing this little guide I hope that this problem is solved.

ES: Hola gente, a través de esta guia les enseñaré como quitar estas tan molestas altas temperaturas de Dead By Daylight, espero que realmente les sea de ayuda pues como jugador de este juego se que a veces y con determinadas especificaciones y/o configuraciones nuestras tarjetas graficas pueden llegar al 99% sin importar cuan buena sea, mismamente en el lobby lo que es realmente molesto y sabemos que las altas temperaturas nos quitan la vida útil de nuestras tarjetas graficas.

PT-BR: E aí galera, já tiveram alguma vez problemas de sobreaquecimento enquanto jogavam Dead By Daylight sem motivo aparente? pode acontecer até com as melhores placas gráficas e isso é bem ruim para quem gosta de cuidar do que tem não é? Bem com esta guia eu vou lhes ensinar (para os que não sabiam) a como solucionar esse pequeno porém incômodo problema.

Edit: This guide is most tested in a 60Hz monitor like me, if you haven´t but like to try let me know about it if it worked or not :)

Trying to clarify things
With my experience I can tell you that this guide works, the thing is that if you have "leftover" fps ex: you have a 60Hz monitor with 100 fps that can make your GPU render "leftover" fps that you don´t really use and can´t notice the difference (cause you dont have 100Hz monitor), that causes overconsuption and higher temps.
Before and After this config comparison
Before: Running at 80 FPS









After: Locked at 60 FPS










In my opinion that is a big change
For NVIDIA Users EN
Well, to begin with we well have to open Nvidia Control panel at our desktop















And after that we´re going to Manage 3D Settings














Select Program Settings

















And select Dead By Daylight of the game list (or just add it Manually)















Then we will go downwards to the end of the config















Finally at there the only thing that we well have to do is:

If you have an 60Hz Monitor select "Max Frame Rate" and put at 60.
And the same thing with better monitors with more frequency.
The most important info is your Monitor frequency, if you known that value you just put it at the config, and thats all! and dont remember to save the changes!
For NVIDIA Users ES-PTBR
ES: Bueno, lo primero que van a hacer es abrir el panel de control de Nvidia desde nuestro escritorio.

PT-BR: Bem, o primeiro que precisam fazer é abrir o panel de control da Nvidia.

















ES: Lo siguiente seria entrar en el apartado de "Configuración 3D".

PT-BR: O seguinte a fazer é entrar na parte de "Configuracao 3D".




















ES: A seguir deben selecionar "Configuración de Programa" y desde allí selecionar a Dead By Daylight.

PT-BR: Agora devemos selecionar "configuracao de programa" e entao selecionar o Dead By Daylight.


















ES: Entonces procedemos a descender hasta el final de este apartado de configuraciones.

PT-BR: Entao, descendemos até o finalzinho da lista de configuracoes.



















ES: Para la última parte de este tutorial necesito que sepan a cuantos Hz les funciona su montor pues este valor lo iran a colocar en la sección "Velocidad Máxima de Fotogramas".

PT-BR: Esta é a fase final, imagino que todos saibam a frequencia maxima dos seus monitores pois este valor usaremos para colocar na config "Velocidade Máxima de Fotogramas".

Ejemplo, Exemplo:



ES: Luego de esto lo siguiente es guardar su configuración y listo! espero haberles ayudado.

PT-BR: E isso seria tudo, agora só precisam guardar as mudancas e já podem jogar! Espero que essa guia tenha sido de ajuda para quem precise.
For AMD Users EN
Hi there, the first thing that you will need to do is open AMD settings.

















After that we will be going at the "gaming" tab at AMD control panel.























And then select "global settings" option.





















Finnaly but no less important we will turn on the "frame rate target control" and set it likeways to our monitor frequency, and thats all, dont forget to save the changes. I hope that this guide can solve your problem =)
For AMD Users ES-PT-BR
ES: Bueno gente lo primero que van a hacer es abrir el panel de control de su controladora de su GPU.

PT-BR: Bem, pessoal primeiramente o que vocés vao fazer é abrir o painel de control de AMD.

















ES: Lo siguiente es selecionar el apartado "gaming" de el mismo.

PT-BR: Logo após vamos selecionar as configuracoes "gaming".






















ES: Ahora selecionan "configuraciones globales".

PT-BR: E entao clicamos em "configuracoes globais".






















ES: Ahora para terminar activamos el control de framerate dependiendo de la frecuencia de nuestros monitores, en mi caso es de 60Hz asi que pongo 60FPS.

PT-BR: Entao galera, pra finalizar ativamos o control de FPS e o valor do mesmo irá depender da frequencia dos seus monitores, por exemplo o meu é de 60Hz entao eu coloco o limite em 60FPS.




Pd: No olvidaros de guardar las configuraciones que habeis hecho y sin mas que decir espero que les haya solucionado este pequeño pero molesto problema =).

Hey! sorry for the late response, anyway you shud lock "processed" fps, like in your cpu not in your monitor.

Hey! If I unlock fps and I limit my monitor more than 60hz (its 165), it's still getting high GPU temps. Any clue?

I dont know, in my case the fps that are above of my monitor frequency just make the GPU consumption reach the limit but, in change if I lock at 60 something "magic" happens and it runs normally, no overconsumption.

You can try lock at 143fps and see what happens, sometimes it can work and reduce the gpu usage, I cant explain now why it happens but at least with my specs it works, you can obviusly see the diference ate the gpu usage in the top of this guide tho

I locked at 60 because I have a 60Hz monitor so is useless to me using above 60 fps

Why lock @ 60 fps? i run 144fps with about 70-80 gpu usage 70 degrees on a 5700xt from asus.
