Urist (from Dwarf Fortress)

Omschrijving
This is a fanmod based on the legendary disaster sim "Dwarf Fortress" by the Adams brothers. Go check it out!

Agent Urist has advanced abilities that must be used cautiously but deliberately in order to get the upper hand in any mission.

Augments & Items

Urist has two loadouts, as usual for agents. The On-File loadout has the S.O.C.K. Dispenser and the Atomsmasher. The Archive loadout has the Breaching Kit and a regular Dart Gun.

S.O.C.K. Dispenser: This augment deploys a SOCK at Urist's feet if none exist. A random guard will come to remove it, then get TAGGED. This is dangerous because there will always be a guard travelling across the facility, but if the guards get there and get tagged, then they become far less dangerous because you'll know where they're going next.

Atom Smasher: A trap which uses charge packs and PWR to entirely remove all objects (and people!) on the same floortile. Simply set it on the ground, clear the area and activate it via the mainframe view. It's more complicated and probably costlier than guns, but also cleaner! Atomsmashing does not incur cleanup cost (unless they're already dead of course).

Breaching Kit: This augment can remove walls. Can't find a door? Make your own! Breaching takes three enemy turns, and at the end of each noise will be made. The other side must be known, which means you cannot use this to bypass vault doors, but at least you can take shortcuts.

With Other Mods

Transistor: Datamine() reveals known enemies in known areas, just as it is in Dwarf Fortress!

Credits

SOCK Dispenser concept by Nelia Hawk and askovdk on the Dwarf Fortress forums.

Code, splash art, portrait, lore, and banter by Mobbstar.

Unfortunately, the field sprite looks very similar to Monst3r's because I couldn't find a good way to edit the many many image files in a reasonable timeframe. At least it makes for great !!fun!! when you get the wrong agent to the final console.

Installation
1) Click "+Subscribe".
2) Start the game.
3) Go to "Options" -> "Gameplay" -> "Refresh Mods".
4) Confirm ("Continue") and close the game again.
5) Start the game. This time, it will take a while to update all your Workshop mods.
6) Done. You should see your new Workshop mods in the campaign settings, and in the "DLC + Mods" Selection menu next to the campaign settings.

Sim Constructor is required for this mod to work at all. Function Library is required for the Breaching Kit.

Thanks for the prompt reply Mobbstar! Really appreciate your communication with the Cyberwarfare's author. No rush at all! Thanks again.

Hi Xaliber. First off, thanks for enjoying this lil guy :dstools:

The log is very helpful, looks like the issue originates with Dragon from Cyberwarfare. I'm getting in touch with the author to figure out a solution. May take a few days, they're working 2/2 shifts.

Not sure if I should report here, or Advanced Cyberwarfare, but since this always happens after Urist breaches a wall...

So after I breach wall, when I switch to other character (typically Dragon from Advanced Cyberwarfare), the portrait keeps on being Urist. I can't screenshot with F12 either, and using Tactical View results in crash. Progressing in mission also results in crash.

If you need my save file: (this is after progressing in mission)

This is hilarious. I love it. If only there were a way to cast your foes into obsidian... :D
