INTROduction
As a person of 5 hours of playtime, I feel I have the experience to teach y'all dimwits a thing or two about flying'n'shooting in a classic shooter game thing. If you can't get past round 3, get off this guide. You're absolute *** and I refuse to teach you anything. But if you can't get past round 4, I'll teach you Kane's Basic Guide to Play Galaga Like a Boss and Not Die at Round 4, or above! At least before round 15. Because stuff gets crazy!!!!!
The Mf-in Basics
To gain the awesomeness needed to play Galaga past round 4, you need to look within yourself and find the true flaw limiting you from beating that round (before 15 ofc, past that you're on your own). 90% of the time it's because your brain hasn't developed correctly and doesn't understand object permanence. Maybe you don't know that a fly is doing a loopy-loop right behind you or that there's a barrage of missiles right beside you. The list is endless, main reason is that you're not mature enough and need to develop yo brain.
How To Develop Your Brain
You don't
serious time
If you already have a developed brain, you need to understand that there's some enemies that can completely screw you up. The flies will usually loop around and mess with you, the butterflies go really fast, the galaga things hide behind butterflies and crap, the spear thingies throw themselves at you, the list is endless. Past round 3, you'll see that enemies start flying towards you when swooping in to position, the corner is the last place you'll want to be. The game is almost designed to be overwhelming, where you sub-consciously push yourself in the corner when things get stressful, and then they launch themselves at the corner along with 4 rockets. You'll die, almost every time. A good solution for this is to just not ever stay in the corners, stay near the middle. Only move near the corners to dodge, and when they swoop in, move all the way to one side. They'll swoop to your location, so when they start swooping, hold down that A or D button. But NEVER be in the corner when they start swooping and shooting. That's a very important tip that everyone should know (and most probably do). Towards the later rounds, you'll want to strafe from one side to the next over and over again, they'll miss their swoops but you have to pay attention to the rockets.

As you can see, this is moments away from disaster. And to add salt to the wound, this is BEFORE they start to swoop. And before you say it's because I'm playing a high round, it's like this for most rounds. Just never sit in corners.
Bullet Hell Sensei
You'll want to enhance your "bullet hell sixth sense". After round 7 (the second challenge round), enemies will start to barrade the screen. A tip is to not be overwhelmed and dodge each one. NEVER be in the corner when they start the barrage (touched that in the last section and the screenshot back there is still relevant), you will die 99% of the time. The bullet hell sixth sense is like knowing where each rocket is and where each rocket is going, dodging according. If you play the game for some time, you'll sharpen this skill. It is KEY to surviving later rounds, where 4 will swoop down and shoot at the same time. Once again, stay near the middle and try to shoot as many enemies coming down as you can.

An extreme example. Most people would be watching their ship for maneuvers like this (I was), but for earlier rounds, know whats where.
Make That Darn Dual-Fighter!
If you've ever gotten past round 4- oh nevermind. Make the dual-fighter, it saves so much time and saves yo butt in so many occasions. To make it, get captured by a galaga (they will swoop down in a straight line then use a tractor beam of sorts), respawn, wait for the galaga to swoop down (with the fighter ship following behind it), and blow up the galaga ship (NOT the fighter ship) (and DONT blow up the galaga while it's stationary, only attacking). Your captured fighter ship should return to normal and join the one you were just using, leaving a sick duo. Rad!

le final produke (mocking italians of course, you know how it be wit em)
Don't Die
Just don't die, its not that hard. I stg noobs sometimes.

eh? Nothing to se- er-What?! Get off my guide!
The Forbidden Route
If you happen to be that sad, sad, sad individual that still can't get past round 4 despite my expert teachings. You can take the losers way out, which involves cheatin. Bad! I will explain no further but it's in the game somewhere. Try a famous cheat code or something.
Finally getting yo ***es off my guide
go play the game or face the consequences of my whip! Crack!

Is there ever a time to not go for the dual-fighter? Obviously it's useful to have during the bonus stages, and you clearly don't want to go for it when you only have one fighter, but I also notice it's harder to doge with the bigger ship so maybe in the later rounds if you lose it wait to get until right before bonus stage? Also I'm wondering how to stack up extra fighters? (like how frequently do you get an extra one/how do I get an extra fighter?)
