Yeah this is a bit of a bug for sure, but it is a very fun one and it does work. All you need to do to advance the game is go have a cup of tea and the potions will wear off (and fill up your hands with the means to do it again if you want.) The game is still a bit buggy with the overlays and systems. For as long as it lasts, this is some silly fun and the video showcases the fantastic insanity of it.

@dbouya Probably, honestly. Cleaning potions do "wear off", but it's likely just dirtiness coming back. I've seen dirt get rooms to -35% or -45% when a janitor didn't pass by, but not much less than that.
It's also a compound effect of 1) rushing the potion and 2) having a ton of scales. With 0 to 2 scales, cleaning potions tend to wear off faster than you make new ones.

@Flawed One: having a few futures that boost learning alchemy (potions especially) and two legendary spellbooks usually help massively in the setup of the infinite. It is doable to do earlier, but it's a bit more rushed/stressful :D

This is a bug right? I think bonus efficiency from cleaning potions isn't even preserved if you save and quit the game then load.

Implying it's not supposed to clean above 0%. Which would make sense. It would be about as useful as a void or destruction potion if it's bonus was capped to only dirty rooms.

I get that the cleaning potion bonus decays over time, so maybe I'm wrong? why would it decay over time if it was never supposed to go above 0? My only guess is that dirtiness accrues, rather than the potion wearing off. Then dirtiness has a maximum negative level it takes efficiency too?

You mentioned in the video that you can go infinite by your 3rd university. What's the reasioning behind this, what do you need for this to work that you can't get earlier?

Your welcome, I found any item that says it needs active people in the next room does work from a trophy room to the next room, with decreased efficiency. From testing I believe the way it works is as if the item is in the room but the room efficiency is halved, i think, so in your model instead of the item being in a 4000% room it would act as though it was in a 2000% or so. Not entirely sure on this as I am not sure to what rate they work at lowered efficiency. I will just say that not using your method as I did not know about it, as long as I have 4 teachers room surrounding the trophy room and over 100% efficiency, by late game of a level I am getting 1 to 2 parkofits every minute or less, give or take a bit.

(misclicked deleted previous comment pointing out that parkofits DO work in trophy rooms)

Good to know! I'm surprised to hear that, as I received very few parkofits when in trophy rooms. I'll experiment more
