Create and quickly access custom loadouts with custom hotkeys.


  • 20 Custom loadouts accessed with a radial menu from a custom hotkey.
  • Activate 1 item at a time or an entire loadout with the press of a key.
  • Only works with Weapons and Consumables(Food, potions, etc).
  • Works with mod items, as long as they are a Weapon or a Consumable.
  • Loadouts can also be loaded to the hotbar instead of accessed via the radial menu.
  • If a loadout contains 1 item only, pressing the hotkey will just use the item instead of opening the radial menu.


  1. Access the settings menu(See below)
  2. Set Loadout names, keys, modifier keys(ctrl, alt, shift) and whether or not to load to the hotbar.
  3. Press Record button.
  4. Add items to your hotbar and press the hotkey associated with your loadout. Your items are now set to that hotkey.
  5. Repeat until all loadouts are built.
  6. Access the settings menu to complete the recording process or wait for it to automatically finish(60s).


  • Loadout items are flexible. When you activate your hotkey, the system will try to use that exact item. If it can't find it, it will try and use the best of the same type. ie: If your hatchet can not be found, it will prioritize using an Ascendant Hatchet over a Journeyman Hatchet.


System Level:
  • Ctrl + Alt + Shift + S: Settings Menu

Default profile Hotkeys:
  • Alt + 1
  • Alt + 2
  • Alt + 3
  • Alt + 4
  • Alt + 5
  • Alt + 6
  • Alt + 7
  • Alt + 8
  • Alt + 9
  • Alt + 0
  • Alt + F1
  • Alt + F2
  • Alt + F3
  • Alt + F4
  • Alt + F5
  • Alt + F6
  • Alt + F7
  • Alt + F8
  • Alt + F9
  • Alt + F10


  • In the settings menu click the Key button for the profile you want to change.
  • Press whatever key you want.
  • Toggle Ctrl, Alt, Shift, Hotbar on/off as desired.
  • Close settings menu.

While technically almost any key is acceptable, sensible key choice is a good idea. ie: Not E.
Also, mouse extra buttons should also work(Mouse 3,4,5, etc).
Escape, Mouse Left Button and Mouse Right Button are NOT valid choices.


You can backup your loadouts by saving a copy to a safe place and restoring it later:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ARK\ShooterGame\Saved\SaveGames\Loadouts\Loadouts.sav
You can access the Settings menu and toggle Record Mode from buttons located near the hotbar, as shown here[i.imgur.com].


Make a thread on the discussions with as much relevant information as possible. You need to post, at a minimum:
  • Game Mode. Singleplayer/Non-Dedicated/Dedicated
  • Map
  • Mods Used
  • What the problem is
  • What debugging measure you've taken

mmm, now i need keybinds that allow me when facing storages to drag out missing items already set in the laod out, fill up consumable to the number set there, switch through gear sets i would cary till all are broken or just replace unbroken gear. So later on i can go through the storage grab what needs to be fixed and repair it in bulk, but never have to think of checking if i have enough sets of gear on me.

Quellcrest :: I really like this mod, however when playing sometimes the record hotkey starts, as if I clicked on Left icon to start a new recording. mid fight I have to stop fighting, cancel the recording, and set back to hotkey #1 setup .. I think what's happening is that I'm clicking to attack with my dino, the mouse doesn't exist, but i think the mod/UI detects/thinks the button was clicked.. it's the only thing I can think of because i'm not press any other hotkeys to start the recording.

as an easy fix, could you either remove the buttons from the UI (and only show them when you open inventory to click on them) or can you add an INI option to hide/disable clicking on the record button while not in inventory? to my undestanding, you can't click the record button outside if inventory anyways, as least I can't so would think that would be best option, unless you have a better idea to help with this?

I've just discovered your workshop. So many of your mods vibe with me so well. Am excited to have the game function in ways that i've always wanted, + new ways I never knew i wanted. Thanks a ton! Reading through the descriptions/usage notes across your mods, the ability to set custom keybinds for mod functions was/is a common trend with your mods; I REALLY appreciate that!

hmm, tried the one thing i hadn't yet which was to log back out then back in and the hotbar-adjacent icons came back

Hey @quellcrest, this looks great and something I have been wanting since I started playing ARK a little ever a year ago. Thing is, though, I run with the Awesome Spyglass! mod and the default alt-s settings menu (configurable to alt-f1, or alt-f2, or alt-f3 only) seems to both 1) not properly check for the presence of other meta key presses and 2) blocks input downstream preventing the settings screen hotkey for this mod from working at all. I realize that you also have the icons next to the hotbar but I tried to make a hotbar after watching your video (appreciate that too!), which didn't seem to work, and those icons disappeared! So, is there an INI setting for the loadout settings hotkey? Or maybe I just need to delete my Loadouts.sav on the server?

Settings menu: Change hotkey/modifier/hotbar/name. Hit record. Load hotbar with stuff. Press hotkey to set it(it'll tell you when it sets it. Sometimes its a little sensitive about it). Wait until record mode turns off or enter settings menu again. Press hotkey to load it.

so i enter the settings screen, fill a hotbar, press button "1" and either wait for recording to stop or re-emter the setting menu, i have the bar checked for hotbar and have named set 1 tools. pressing the default shortcut for that set (alt+1) just loads an empty bar. what am i missing here?
