Tips Tricks & More (WIP)
By 2rad4rio
A guide for my finds, as well as others so please comment anything you found that I might of not (1 person isn't as good at finding stuff as a 100) , like a whip + blessing combination or whatever it may be.

It may be very bare bones right now, like literally 1 or 2 things, but I'm going to add more as I play and discover stuff. Honestly it'd probably be better of it nobody sees this yet, but I'm not sure if there's anyway to just like draft a guide so here we are.

If you notice any information that is wrong, please point that out in the comments or wheverever I will see it.

Trick: Double Jump + Crouch Jump
Using Double Jump + Crouch Jump will allow you to get some insane height. There are 3 ways you can abuse the combo.
1. Do 2 crouch jumps, by doing one regularly, then un-crouching, then doing another crouch jump mid-air, giving you two big jumps

2. Do a normal regular jump, them a crouch jump or vice versa (other way around), giving you not as much height, but more momentum, and in certain areas this can be used in replace of a whip to get up to ledges making it very useful

3. Do 2 regular jumps, then a crouch jump before you land (still while you're in the air). This will make your next jump, crouching or not, be the height of a crouch jump

Trick: Deluxe Whip + Lucky Landing
Credits to SHIRTY for finding this
SHIRTY's original guide: https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2524374323
Using the deluxe whip, which negates fall damage, with the lucky landing blessing which canheal you instead of taking fall damage (not sure what the actual odds are) you have a chance to actually give yourself health by taking the fall with no risk.
Trap Tips / Tricks: Hammer
Hammers can be a difficult trap to pass depending on the circumstance. Here are some ways to get past them.

1. Use the edges to your advantage. The hammers may have a small edge next to them depending the direction they are swinging, and you can greatly use this to your advantage and to evade the hammers, like sliding past them, or giving yourself an opening to jump past them.

2. Asses the pattern. This may be obvious, but just looking at them and when and how they are swinging you can devise a plan on how to evade them / get through them. Don't feel the need to rush yourself, unless perhaps the Devouring Rage is right behind you.
Trap Tips/Tricks: Dart Statue
The dart statue is an enemy / trap that appears from the caves onward, and can be very powerful in the midst of the chaos. Here are a couple ways to deal with it.

1. Whip It. Take Devo's advice, as whipping the statues causes them to spin and be deactivated, but this does not last forever so be quick (Newton's first law after all).

2. Dodge, Run, and Weave. The simple, little thinking required method of running forward. Avoid being perfectly straight as the dart statues may be able to line up a good shot on you, but sometimes the Devouring Rage is right behind you, and there's no option but to book it, so don't feel afraid to do so.
Trap Tips/Tricks: Boulder
These can be confusing and seem almost impossible to get past, but there's one little thing that makes dealing with them way easier.

1. Slide / Crouch In The Corner. When rolling boulders will have small gaps on their sides, these gaps are big enough for you to fit through, meaning you can completely avoid the boulder without having to wait for it to go by (keep in mind this doesn't apply to every scenario with a boulder).

This is more of a tip for greedy people looking for all the coins. When you find a vertical shaft, sometimes the room above is just one of a chain of three rooms on top of each other. I noticed this when the chest was on the raised section of the room and in between the pillars on the ceiling was hole that you wouldn't notice if you were just flying through the place. Then in that room, another shaft. It seems like the top and middle floors are more likely to be large chests.

In the later levels, when i’m the first in a dungeon. At the start of each run i stand still for a couple of seconds, it doesn’t affect me, but for the people after me with phantom healing it’s a life saver. Also if they have greedy phantoms it gives them a chance to open chests but this is less common since you can just bless that whip.

Does faster whip speed apply to the grapple as well?

Also for the large square spike traps you can literally just run between them. Their hitboxes are only in the middle.

Secret chests in relic rooms:

In the blue there is a chest underneath the first platform, and another secret one behind the relic.
In the second tier relic there is a secret area WAY to the right. It's hard to get to, you have to jump past the lava and scale the rock wall. Unless you have high jump, double jump and wings.
In the red relic (third) If you scale the large rightmost statue there is a area you can drop down to with extra chests.

Using whip on a chest does NOT work if it is already open.
LorwynGale 24 Jun, 2021 @ 5:39pm
@immortalDarkness- Any chest that you open either by pressing E or with the whip its contents will fly to you

pt2: ALWAYS LOOK UP AND DOWN treasure can be hidden in ceiling rooms and in what at a short glance looks like a pit>> if you can see the floor there you can stand there, always buy new whips as they are returned when lost if someone clears the temple you died in, be very weary of shifting wall traps as they commonly seem reasonable but going over is usually the actual solution, if you are struggling getting first or second depth relics consider the bone whip as water is readily available for the first two depths. Thats all i got for now, ill delete this later as it does clutter the comment section.
