Enable Cheats

All you have to do is to edit the user.cfg file in 3 different folders. The files are located in:

\Users\XXXXX\AppData\Local\4A Games\Metro 2033\user.cfg
\Steam\userdata\XXXXXX\43110\remote\user.cfg
\Steam\SteamApps\common\metro 2033\user.cfg

Edit these 3 files and edit or add the following lines:

g_global_god 0
g_god 1
g_unlimitedammo 1

I don't have a 43110 folder. Bunch of other numbers, went through each one and have configs for all my other games, but not Metro.

It seems to eventually erase the commands at \Steam\userdata\XXXXXX\43110\remote\user.cfg, I don't know why or how, but it does.

so in order for it to work, you must periodically check the files to make sure that they're still functioning, otherwise works as advertised.
