Unlocking the gates to gain access to the Lincoln Memorial, without entering combat, can be soloed. If you quickly enter all codes and vacant the area before the scripted Brigade patrol arrive at the Laptop terrace.

When you activate the laptop on the roofless terrace area, three terminals spaced around the complex will become active. This doesn’t trigger the patrol, but as soon as you activate any terminal by pressing the OK button, a triggered patrol will enter the area via two large gates off to the right of this picture (by a guard tower).

The laptop display shows three by three codes, separated with a hyphen. Each row (horizontal) relates to a specific terminal. And while any column (vertical) can be use, I prefer the ergonomics of the right most column, with the numbers closest to the terminal control buttons.

If you play solo you activate the terminals in a different order than if you play multiplayer.

It is possible to activate all three terminals and open the Memorial gate without being spotted, if you activate the terminals nearest patrol entry points first.

1. Lower central building using Bottom row code.
   
2. Upper central building using Top row code. Take most direct route to next terminal to save seconds.
   
3. Laptop terrace using Middle row code, then quickly move back to laptop to open gate. Jump from terrace instead of climbing down ladder.

3. (player 1 or 3) Upper central building using Top row code. Exit door nearest Memorial and jump down when gate is opened.

You can move highlighted line beyond top or bottom of screen to appear on the opposite end. This can reduce the amount scrolling needed, e.g. move 3 lines by going upwards instead of 5 lines by going down.



Turning off flash light reduces screen glare/bleaching out of numbers.

Selecting the correct code on each terminal before initiating any terminal won't help. As when you return to the previously corrected terminal the line will have moved.

Crouching at laptop terrace terminal may help against being spotted, if patrol gets too near.

Jump from Terraces instead of losing seconds by descending ladder, and potentially being spotted.

Instead of jumping inline with ladder from Laptop terrace you can take a running jump at a 45° angle, landing on the roof of the Humvee nearest to the Memorial gate.

If you have two weapon bags, throw one through the Memorial gate on the right hand side (up wooden stairs) before starting. As you won't be able to revisit this area after entering the Memorial.
